Blogshoot quick hit…

The usual suspects made their appearance(s), at the WV shoot, sadly some of the regulars were unable to attend due to sickness, family or school obligations. Y’all were missed!!!

Old school vs. new school… SP-1 vs. Jay G‘s custom build that he did!

old new 2

Turning $$ into smoke and noise… One bullet at a time, 100 yard range… Steels were shot, fun was had, and I didn’t get any pics of the holes put in the steel by the Barrett M-82, but DAYUM that thing is loud!smoke and noise

I’m almost embarrassed to post this target, but this is what happens when one doesn’t practice… sigh… 10 yards, 1/4 size target. I was all over the place…

Note to self- Get to the @#$R&$ range!!!Blogshoot target

And as always, we adjourned for food and conversation… Which went everywhere… 🙂steak

Thanks to Murph for the hosting, and we raised a little over $600 for charity today. His pics and report are HERE!

Funniest thing (to me), Larry the Historian (who owns the Barrett), shooting my tricked out suppressed .22 with subsonic ammo… He was giggling like a little kid as he dinged the steel at 100 yards and the ding was louder than the rifle… 🙂

Now the cleaning starts… sigh…

Y’all stay safe, and shoot ’em good!

  1. I was told “If you don’t shoot weekly, you will shoot weakly.”

Unfortunately I have found this to be true……

  2. Rick- Yep, that was me at 10 yards… I SUCKED!!!

WN- Great to hear that, everyone sent their best wishes for a speedy recovery!

  3. Hey Old NFO;

Shooting is fun but cleaning isn’t bad…find a good shootemup movie in Netflix and clean weapons while watching movies….better than popcorn.

  4. It was fun as usual. And think of it this way – a good shooter like you having a bad shooting day reassures those of us that haven’t been shooting as long.

The carry gun got cleaned during Law and Order SVU last night. 3 rifles to go.

  5. Looks like alot of fun. Reminds me of my targets, I love steak, and I have a friend who always begs to clean my stuff. Most times I take a pass, but he just likes detailing firearms.

  6. Heath- Y’all were missed, and yes it was fun!

Bob- True, but I tend to NOT have interruptions when I’m cleaning… Just ‘my’ way of doing it…

PH- Yeah, it’s just lack of range time, and that’s on me. Good for you and you were doing dang good with that Kahr!

    Brian- Must be nice… sigh… 🙂

  7. Giggling? No, that was chuckling. I was having fun!

I giggle rarely, when someone may be about to die, (usually me)and that’s higher pitched. I’ve been told that it is extremely disconcerting.
You probably don’t want to hear me giggle

. That was a lot of fun, and I hope you won’t be limping next year!
    BTW, the book was good.
