I’m late… sigh…

There are mornings, and then there are mornings…

0700, trying to get dressed and Vito decides he’s waited long enough for me, so he knocks the door open, and I get a cold nose in the butt… Sigh…

Yesterday was ‘interesting’, when the cookies were getting made-

And then there was the ‘serenade’ after dinner last night… Sigh…

It’s going to be an ‘interesting’ few days… 🙂

  1. It’s good that Vito is there to whip you into shape and get you into the pace and tempo of the house. Without him, you could sleep to 9 or 10 am, and you might miss out on hot fresh cookies.

  2. Hey Old NFO;

Vito is doing you a favor, if you sleep too long than you don’t get stuff done…..like stuff so he is helping you out. Vito knows what is best for you.

  3. Liesl, my Rott, is the sweetest, gentlest lump of depleted uranium I’ve ever met. She enjoys ‘bee-stinging’ me while sleeping (stabbing me with her stub-tail while chasing miscreants in her sleep.) She also will, when I am very upset, whine until I come to bed, where she will then oonch her whole body over mine until her head is resting on my shoulder and my chest is crushed.

Love rotties. Especially the properly docked ones (having been hit by a happy rottie long-tail, that hurts.)

Vito really loves you. Especially on cold dark nights…

  4. Andrew- Thankfully, Vito doesn’t try to get in bed with me (mainly because I close the door tightly)! But you’re right!

  5. Ain’t grandkids great? Just found out the other day that #5 is on the way. That gives me something to look forward to next summer.

  6. And you love every minute of it! Well maybe not the cold nose in the butt, but everything else.

  7. Looks like a good time is being had by all.
Enjoy them, they don’t stay little for long!

  8. OldNFO,
Beautiful posts, enjoy every one of them. Regarding the pic of your Grandkids(?), as a retired serviceman meself, we all know this. As the saying goes, ‘All the tea in China aint worth nuthin’ compared to them’.

When a bloke’s favourite dog serenades, well, it don’t get any better than that, ‘cept for one thing.

When a bloke and his Missus are lucky to still have each other, then all of the above is just pure Heaven on a stick.

That’s why, every so often, I remember, and give thanks, every so often, – but not often enough……
