Yea!!!

Kinda, sorta…

I found some film, but only in 120. And nothing that resembled the old PAN or PLUS-X. Only thing I found was TRI-X 400 ASA. in B&W

Found some color, both 100 and 400 ASA so we’ll see how bad I can screw that up… LOL

AND found the waist viewer, which I actually like better!

In the boo category, never found the light meter, but one of my readers is sending me one! And much thanks to him!!!

And I fiddled with the camera over the last couple of days, and I ‘think’ I remember enough to at least take pictures with it… We shall see!

  1. B&H Photovideo (on line — bricks and mortar lower west side of Manhattan Island) is your friend for that camera — they have everything (including film and processing) that you might want, and are very quick on shipping.

And no I don’t usually post endorsements to anyone, but this time its worth it.

That’s a vry fine camera, and takes wonderful photos!

  2. Tri-X 400 is great film. I used it in high school and college for the yearbook and newspaper. Had my trusty Minolta with an f1.8 lens, and got stunning ambient light candids.

Tight grain, excellent resolution, and you can push the daylights out of it when you develop it. I seem to remember experimenting with pushing it to 1200, but that was a loooong time ago!

  3. bet we could find you some vinyl and even a turn table to spin them on.
I like this project. Far more entertaining than current events 😉
