One more time…

Just for clarification…

Lawdog WROTE the Gun Rights Cake in 2010- HERE.

And Jenn wrote Dance Monkey Dance in 2010- HERE.

And Marko Kloos wrote The Gun is Civilization in 2007 at his blog The Munchkin Wrangler, which is gone, but you can read it HERE, attributed to Major Caudill, which no one is sure where that actually came from… sigh

So all these dweebs, wannabes, etc. that claim ‘they’ wrote it, or their brother’s wife’s second cousin three times removed wrote it are full of S**T!!!

Sigh… Now back to your regularly scheduled BS WuFlu lockdown… Have a safe weekend, and load your mags…

  1. On the Maj. Caudill post, reading that reminds me of Jeff Cooper when he said, and I’m paraphrasing because I don’t remember the exact wording, “the criminal must learn to fear the person who is intended to be the victim.”

I’m not attempting to diminish the credit for any original thoughts in this post or the links, just thinking out loud, that these points have been common knowledge for well over 200 years, with people that are self reliant and independent thinkers with a good grasp of history.

  2. I wish I could write something so profound that it would go viral and be attributed to Paul Harvey.
I used to wish I could write something so profound and so funny that it would go viral and be attributed to Bill Cosby. Sigh. That dream went down in flames, didn’t it?

  3. CALEXIT – The Anthology, is writing itself today, as part of history.

    • Maybe, though I think that we are getting _much_ closer to Kratmans’ “State of Disobedience”, maybe with a side of “Centurion” for our cities’ supply lines this winter.

  4. This is a very nice contribution, NFO. Thanks for the effort.

I think that I’ve read all of these at one time or another. Certainly the cake analogy seems familiar, as does the organ grinder. My memory isn’t what it could be these days.

    Who is plagiarizing the work?

  5. Hey Old NFO;

THis again? I thought this stuff was settled? Who is stirring the pot? Everyone KNOWS that Lawdog did the Cake rights, and there is a meme that backs it up, I attribute it to “Lawdog” everytime I use it. I have heard of Jennifer’s “Dance Monkey” and reminded myself and as far as “”Gun is Civilization”, I never knew who wrote it but it became part of internet lore. As far as my magazines are loaded…until that tragic Kayak accident *Sniff, Sniff*

  6. Grog- No question. It was the ‘way’ they wrote them that got my attention back in the day.

    Pat/MJ- One never knows! 🙂

LL- Sadly, that IS coming true…

    MJ- You’re welcome!

    Bob- Yeah, again… sigh

BP- Yep, some rando intarwebz commando trying to take credit… AGAIN!!! @#$@#%*

  7. My ship’s Captain, Cmdr Sandy Sanders, received a Christmas present of a photo of our ship in the crosshairs of a submarine’s periscope, by the ship’s Captain. Cmdr Sanders was not pleased.

      • My ship, a Ballistic Missile Submarine, was directed to help a brand new CG work up for ASW. We ended up doing a periscope approach and got a great shot of the Skipper looking back at us when we ‘shot’ him. It became part of the Patrol Log! 🙂

  8. I know LawDawg has posted a couple of rather… peevish posts on The Cake metaphor.
And someone got one or more “Caudill” name tapes made up for Marko and got pics of him wearing BDUs with that name.

  9. My eyes and brain misread the title of the book up at top left.
I read it as “Talk Around The Sapper Table”, then thought “that can’t be right”. And, by golly, THEN I was right

    • Tales Around The Sapper Table tend to be short and to the point, and involve words of few syllables, most of which cannot be used on Prime Time TV.

  10. Mine eyes have seen the glory of my mistakes. Annnnnd… the silly.

  11. Ah,so that’s where the famous ‘Dance, monkey, dance’ comes from.

As to bloggers and facebookers and twitters taking credit? Stolen Valor exists everywhere.

Though I’m not sure whether the best way to handle is to ignore the scum or post their complete stupidity and intellectual theft along with their name on the interwebs so we can politely shame the sons of unwed mothers and the intact female dogs of breeding age…

    Grrrr.

I love the Cake analogy. I attribute it to Lawdog whenever I use it. It’s the simplest way of explaining the eroding of gun rights that I’ve seen, besides just asking the idiot to define ‘Shall not be infringed.’ (Asking for a definition is like dropping a bunch of concrete barriers all over the road in front of a Smart Car. It will either stop them or you get to see some very convoluted action in order to get around the barriers.)

And, yes, any ‘gun law’ or ‘knife law’ or ‘brass knuckle law’ is a complete violation of the 2nd Amendment if said law restricts carrying or ownership or construction. Shall not be infringed. What’s so friggin hard about those 4 words?

    And I’m ranting again…

  12. Sam- No biggie… LOL

Beans- I call ’em on it when I see it. Doesn’t help, but makes ME feel better… grrr…

  13. Marko can be found at: Markokloos.com

IIRC, he felt it would be more professional to change the name of his blog once he started to sell his novels.
Personally, I thought “MunchkinWrangler” was a neat name, and I think I would have kept it and just added the Kloos version for business purposes. Then again, he now spends most of his time writing for a living, so the content of the blog pretty much went away, plus his wife now stays home to wrangle the kids while he brings home the big bucks.
    He writes entertaining stories.

    This one was neat:
