Here we go again…

Hamas is playing games as usual… with lives at stake! 🙁

“As President, I have no higher priority than ensuring the safety of Americans held hostage around the world,” Joe Biden said in a statement. “That’s why—from the earliest moments of Hamas’s brutal assault—my national security team and I have worked closely with regional partners to do everything possible to secure the release of our fellow citizens.”

Even Squad member Rep. Jamal “Fire Alarm” Bowman appeared to take some credit for the deal. “I’m grateful that our continuous calls for a ceasefire and the return of the hostages has begun to make a difference,” he said in a post on X/Twitter.

Well, Hamas postponed the ceasefire—the ceasefire they wanted—until Friday, which IDF spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Conricus says is  “indicative” of their “psychological warfare” tactics.

Full article, HERE.

Backchannel says this is their norm, rather than an exception… What truly angers me is the MSM here seems to have bought into the Hamas mantra lock, stock, and barrel whether by choice or ‘direction’.

This makes me wonder who and how many hostages will ever be returned. Obviously, not all of them, as deaths have been reported, albeit not enough specifics to determine who has died.

Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis and the other catspaws of Iran need to be ended by any means necessary, otherwise, this crap is just going to continue.

Kicking the soapbox back in the corner now…

  1. Qatari officials have already said that “not all” the hostages to be returned were still alive.

How much ransom to pay (and under what circumstances to refuse to pay ransom at all) is a well developed area of Jewish Law with, sadly, an extensive responsa literature which documents the decisions reached in cases over many centuries in which ransom was demanded.

  2. Lives to them are no different that pots and pans — items to be used for barter. There is no intrinsic value otherwise.

  3. Then I hope Israel pounds the he** out of them today.

  4. Sadly, and no government can admit it, the only way to actually “negotiate” with hostage takers is to treat the hostages lives as already forfeit and to make the hostage takers pay for every life lost. Anything else will lead to more hostages down the road.

  5. +1 NRW
Dealing for hostages is always counterproductive. It rewards hostage taking.
Making them pay for taking hostages IMHO is the much more productive strategy for the long term. Pay heavily.
Unfortunately the MSM and “Loyal Opposition” would have a field day.

  6. Hey Old NFO;

I had to watch the MSNBC on the news at the gym, and the leftward slant was so apparent, I wanted to barf, I kept mentioning “bullshit” under my breath. making a deal with hamas will encourage more of the same in the future and Iran is enjoying the drama unfolding in the middle east that she has created. I forsee more of the same in the future.

    • I saw the term “haMaSNBC” coined somewhere else. Feel free to use that.

  7. “As President, I have no higher priority than ensuring the safety of Americans held hostage around the world,”
Did he read the job description?

  8. Anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together will realize Hamas doing this is intentional.

I really believe the ”message” being put out by the MSM is being directed.

  9. The hype is strong with this one. My solution is to punish Hamas until they beg to give the hostages back.

  10. I24News, The Jerusalem Post, and The Times of Israel are all reporting that 13 Israeli hostages are now in the custody of the Red Cross and are being sent back to Israel via Egypt, while Israel is preparing to send back 39 terror convicts.

Live coverage from “The Telegraph” in the UK, via YouTube. (No talking heads with all their stupid speculation):

  11. The stupidity of negotiating with terrorists should be obvious by now.

As nations, we should wake up to the fact that there is no such thing as permanent peace. That there will always be evil men who will use violence when violence is getting them what they want. Conflict is the normal State of humanity, and peace requires a lot of blood, sweat and gold to maintain.

    Get. Used. To. That.

  12. Concur with all. ‘Negotiations’ are nothing but a delaying tactic for Hamas. And yes, what Peter B says is correct.

  13. Light, Arc Type, One each…

In other news, apparently some adherent of the Religion of Peace had a Sudden Jihad Syndrome event in Dublin, stabbing children in an elementary school.
The Garda aren’t saying the miscreant was Algerian, and I suppose even if he is he could be Buddhist or Zoroastrian or something, but….

  14. Our first war after our separation from England was with the Islamics in the Med. The US learned to attack them until they gave up everything. Politicians are not capable of learning from history or direct experience. The only thing they learn is how to play games.

  15. Just outrageous. Hamas needs to be stamped out. I say that as a religious professional.

  16. “As President, I have no higher priority than ensuring the safety of Americans held hostage around the world,” Joe Biden said in a statement

    BULLSHIT!

You didn’t give a flying f*ck about the 5,000 Americans you abandoned in Afghanistan when you abandoned it on the middle of the night and left some $6billion on advanced weapons for terrorists to use.

  17. There are only two ways “terror convicts” should ever be returned to their superiors: Air-dropped from high enough to kill anyone they land on, or sewn into a suicide bomb harness with a short timer.
