Unilever has finally learned their lesson (after losing no telling now much money and customers)!

Multinational conglomerate Unilever, the owner of some 400 brands, announced Tuesday it is spinning off its ice cream business — including major names like Ben & Jerry’s, Breyers, Magnum, Popsicle and Klondike — after more than a century.

Full article, HERE from Fox News.
I’m surprised it took them this long to get rid of Ben & Jerry’s after the whole Israel thing.
And I’m betting whomever buys them WON’T let Ben & Jerry’s retain control of the board…
In other news, SCOTUS is allowing Texas to arrest and deport illegals…Cue the screaming on the left in three…two…

  1. Don’t really care about Unilever but I can hear the lefties screaming all the way up hear in Western Pa about 4.5 hour drive from D.C. You go Texas!

  2. And then the Fifth halted Texas again within hours.
It’s like a Civil War in the judiciary.
As far as judiciary is concerned, the ruling on the jury instructions in the Trump “classified” documents trial was both encouraging and confusing.
These only come out with much fasting and prayer.

    • So the Supremes ruled that it was okay but a court that answers to the Supremes ruled that the Supremes were wrong?

Funny, I thought the Supremes had the supreme word on a subject and that the lower courts are lesser than the Supremes.

My head hurts, now and still…

      • The supreme court was never truly supreme.

Ultimately, given that force alone cannot rule, the supreme court is subordinate to the court of the American public.

The pragmatic issue is that appealing to the American public sucks, if the public decides to act, and that the decisions are really frustrating to try to interpret.

But, the more the judges appear to behave corruptly in conspiracy with one another, the more lawful a mob hanging the whole of congress seems to be.

That said, I am very confident that we will eventually be able to peacefully resolve some of these disputes.

  3. Ben & Jerry founded their ice cream business for the express purpose of fundraising for Leftist causes. They have always been open and honest about that, unlike most Lefties.

  4. I hope Israel stays the course in Gaza and f**k world opinion. Another question will Israel go bankrupt? Because of Hezbollah the citizens have been forced to evacuate. The loss of income from that area must be crippling.

I regularly watch the YouTube channel TBNIsrael which seems to deliver no b.s. reports.

Suffering Gaza civilians? Didn’t they vote in Hamas? Didn’t they dance in the streets after the invasion? FAFO

    • Israel is not likely to go “bankrupt”.
Partly because they are not so stupid that they can’t do budgets and projections, and partly because Governments have a well-established ability to pass economic strain on to their population. As long as the people can bear the pain, they can keep fighting ….. at some level. How they do it may change, but they don’t have any good alternatives.

I’m in full agreement with the assessment that HAMAS is a psychopathic death-cult (and proud of it) with which you cannot negotiate or make peace. Israel has demonstrated a very high level of concern for civilian casualties and as soon as someone pretends otherwise, you know that they are either uninformed, dishonest , or both. Probably both.

  5. As much as I liked some Ben and Jerry’s flavors (Vermonty Python, NY Superfudge Crunch), their politics ruined the fun for me. The price doesn’t help. Blue Bunny and Blue Bell and others have just as good, or better, at a lower price.

    • Living as I do in the Cincinnati area, home of Graeter’s, Aglemesis, and United Dairy Farmers, I never even had reason to consider Ben & Jerry’s. Back in NJ decades ago, I lived near Thomas Sweet Shops, and again, no reason. I am not certain I ever had any. Maybe at somebody’s party or something.

  6. All- Thanks, and yes, TXRed, you are absolutely correct! 🙂

I’ve also had it with the spammers, so I’m sending their comments to the spam bucket, along with any replies. Sorry about that.

  7. “Growth strategy …”: quiet part aloud – “premium ice cream is so overdone and the market is declining. That hippie and the SJWs we kept are hurting business.” Since I like ice cream without politics, Ben & Jerry’s and a few others are done. Buy closer to home; the ice cream is usually a bit fresher and not made by “Amalgamated Frozen Plant 67.”

Thanks for using the spam-be-gone; I saw that and ducked away. Spam is another thing that doesn’t belong with ice cream. That, and lobster. I tried it – Bad Idea. Butter brickle and some sea-flavored candy chips would be better.
