One sees every day!
1930 Model A Ford pickup!!!
Obviously still a work in progress, but it’s ALL METAL! There isn’t a single piece of plastic on this one!
The body is a ‘little rough’, but what do you expect for almost 100 years old? It looks like he’s got the first primer coat on, and just wanted to ‘enjoy’ driving it on one of the few nice days we’ve had lately!
I would have loved to see what motor he had in it, but…I couldn’t wait around to see who it belonged to.
When I was a kid, one of our neighbors restored old cars. He won the nationals one year with his Model A. It was gorgeous – cherry red and black, with stained walnut rails.
We kids enjoyed being driven around town riding in the rumble seat of one of his other cars. Good times.
That’s what I learned to drive on, a number of decades ago. Only it wasn’t in quite such good condition. No top to the cab (it had gone under a low hanging branch).
If you could drive that, you could drive anything…
Hey Old NFO,
I can visualize the end product and I am impressed. Truck like that will keep running where the new stuff would turn over and die. I recall the Model A and Model T’s doing endurance runs around the planet back in the day.
What a pleasure to see a restoration like this in progress. It doesn’t have to be fancy and car-show quality to be a thing of beauty.
Beautiful classic!
That is very cool! Wish I could have seen it.
Sensible to relocate the gas tank to the bed.
All- Thanks, and yes, most old trucks get the gas tanks moved to the bed or under the bed…
Any color you want, as long as it’s gray. 🙂
That is resplendent!
Love the grey on gray theme.
