Lawmakers in Maryland have put forward a bill that would make condoms available throughout elementary schools in the state.
The controversial bill was introduced by Democrat Del. Nicole Williams of Prince George’s County. The legislation, Bill 380 would repeal a ban on condoms and other forms of contraception being available within vending machines at kindergarten, nursery, elementary or secondary public schools.
Maryland’s House of Delegates advanced the bill on Friday, 89-41. It now is headed to the Democrat-controlled Senate.

I cannot understand what they think they are accomplishing with this. I guess I’m not twisted enough…
Having been a parent of two daughters, I know the pressures they get as soon as they start ‘developing’ and become ‘prey’ for a segment of the male population. My oldest daughter was caught up in that mess, and it affects her to this day.
I also remember my neighbor who had two daughters who went through puberty ‘early’, at 11 and 12, and by the time the oldest was 13, she looked 18, was fighting off adult males, and ended up with both of them homeschooled to protect them from the predators out there. They literally didn’t get to be little girls and enjoy the toys, dolls, and things like that due to their development and looks.
And all four of us that lived in that condo building became surrogate parents to those girls as necessary, including running men off who kept driving by.
One hopes the parents in MD pull their kids from these schools and/or move out of state. The children’s lives are more precious than staying in that environment, especially when the government is pushing it…

My two granddaughters — both in the early teens, and both — if a grandparent may be allowed to say it — very intelligent, athletic, and um… head turners — live in Virginia. I hope their parents can keep them safe, because for sure the rest of society isn’t going to.

I’m pretty sure Maryland law still says it’s illegal to have sex for anyone under 14, but to them, what’s a law when it conflicts with their priorities?

As Jonathan says it would be promoting delinquency of a minor to encourage illegal sexual activity.
On a total tangent, because I thought you might get a kick: I just watched a YouTube video (Ambition Strikes channel) where the couple just bought an ex-Navy barge on Lake Pend Oreille. It was like an empty floating data center. There was a VP-69 Totems insignia inside.
What next? Student lactation centers in K-12 buildings? Weed dispensaries? Happy hour? Every time I think the insanity cannot get any worse, these idiots raise the bar.
Peaowed, some high schools have nursing/pumping rooms because those are the designated schools for girls “in a family way”. It is far easier to have those students together in one place, where they can get care and have child care facilities (and classes) than to have a few in each high school. That is, those who don’t drop out, or go into the care of the state because the mother-to-be/mother is under a certain age.

Goal is simple.
Lots and lots of behavior around sex and sexual drives can be learned, but unlearning is maybe less easy.
Someone seems to have done an examination of things that do not correlate to functioning well in American culture, and US society.
Apparently, a lot of people in the third world get abused as children, and this may correlate a bit to what organizations get put together by the adults. IE, adults who create dysfunctional organizations.
The sexual, emotional, physical, and mental abuse of children in the American public school system may not be intended by all of the teachers individually, but there does seem to be an agenda driving the policy.
The agenda is to try to change the children into adults who cannot function in US society.
Some of the actual teachers are communist enough to knowingly be evil in this way.
Yet, the early days of these programs or trends were apparent in the school days of those now forty.
Some of the teachers are young enough to just be badly damaged themselves after being raised this way.
The goal the communists had was being subtle, and leaving all revealed after it was irreversibly accomplished. (They don’t do independent study enough to realize when they have set difficult or impossible goals for themselves.)
They said the quiet parts out too loud, and caused themselves some serious political problems.
There’s an anthropology concept called a revitalization movement. Stressed cultures doubling down on the ritual or behavior they thought previously had worked for them.
Communists are a stressed culture now. Their current tactics will include some poorly thought out repeats or doubling down, that has no well thought out purpose or end. The real motivation is to regain the sense of control or effectiveness that they previously lived, so repeat the magical spells.
tools of reason, self discipline, etc., can be difficult to learn.
If one learns some very conflicting lessons strongly enough, early enough, then it gets really really hard to learn the other stuff later.
So, if they can get kids below the age of reason to put a strong enough priority on the sexual jollies, then very few things later on will be a bigger priority in their lives.
Civilization and behavior in American society and culture are a choice.
A lot of senior communists are also people who live for hurting others. They know that they had the appetite young, and have been skilling up since. They are trying to make more of what they can recruit.
The early sexual training is simply one element of trying to control what choices the children will make as adults. There’s other stuff as well, which is less obviously concerning.
The public schools seem to do a lot of more general bullying of young children, to sell them on the idea that they can either hurt others, or be hurt themselves, and that helping the communists hurt people is the only magical spell which can personally protect them.
These places have been not exactly good or safe places for children for decades, and this law may be an attempt at a fighting retreat, not a _new_ attack.
Common core math is one of the less obviously wrong bits, that is suggestive of using terrible educational training to push out the quality of educational training that made some of the more technically functional cohorts of Americans.
As long as evil people are allowed to live they will do evil things. The solution is simple. Not pleasant, but simple. Biblical history tells us it works.
Glad I had boys. They very taught to be respectful. Kudos to my daughter-in-law for bringing two daughters successfully through to adulthood.
One aspect of this problem is the early age that females are hitting puberty. IIRC, historically it used to be mid to later teens for them. Something in our food supply, most likely.
Hmm, soybeans contain something close to estrogen. I wonder if that might be the culprit. Seems it was not a big crop until WW2 here in the US. Now, we are one of the biggest producers in the world. Lots of dancing around the subject of how much of an effect it has on people. It’s been a big deal in Asia for centuries.
