I’m sad to say I’m embarrassed by the conduct of the Dems at last night’s State of the Union speech.
Multiple Democrats caused disruptions before and during President Trump’s speech to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday despite calls from many in the party not to do so.
Shortly into Trump’s speech, Dem. Rep. Al Green stood up and began shouting at the president and waving his cane at him.
“Members are engaging in willful and continuing breach of decorum, and the chair is prepared to direct the sergeant at arms to restore order to the joint session,” House Speaker Mike Johnson said in response to the jeers from the crowd.

And there is this… sigh…

I know TDS is strong, but these people have literally gone off the deep end.
I just hope people do not get any stupider. We need to be pulling together right now, for the betterment of the USA, not playing stupid partisan games.
Kicking the soapbox back in the corner and going to find my BP meds…
Hope they don’t get any stupider? Come on, man. We haven’t even begun to see stupid. They’re just getting started.
X2
Speaking of BP meds, at what point in our lives did those completely foolish compartment plastic trays with the day of the week on each compartment become an absolute necessity?
Peaowed nailed it.
When you are powerless to control what is going on, throw a tantrum.
Most people start to outgrow that by the end of their Terrible Twos.
Spoiled children in need of discipline.
Not standing for a boy who has survived brain cancer. Not standing for a young man who found out he will achieve his dream and attend West Point. Not standing for the capture of an Afghan terrorist. Not standing that Z-man now wants to come to the negotiation table with Putin to end the meat grinder in Ukraine.
What a show by the Dems. They only care about graft, DEI, and putting biological men in women’s sports. Nice to see they ejected Al Greene publicly and immediately so minimal decorum was enforced.
Unfortunately I’m not surprised. They can’t handle it when things don’t go their way.
If the people of Greens district do not start the recall petition today fie on them.
Alas, there is no Constitutionally authorized way to recall a sitting member of Congress.
John in Philly:
Allow me to address the OT, er, topic. I find those completely foolish organizers to be quite useful. Some folks rely on an empty compartment to tell them they have indeed taken their darn drugs for the day. Some of my former clients have a 30-day supply already divvied up for ease of handling (a real time-saver for me) while one has his daily dosages packaged in individual blisters on a roll like caps for a kid’s cowboy gun (are those still legal?).
I’m tickled that the smaller versions are still working for my needs and I have not yet, notice the qualifier, needed to go to the larger compartments and large print.
John in Philly: Those are good things to be tickled about; I hope the situation stays unchanged.
Eschenbach makes a credit-card-size illuminated magnifier called “easyPOCKET” which is available in various magnifications. Shop around as prices vary wildly.
Plain to see for all who care to, which and who are pro-America and not.
Sorry to hear that a ‘Pub Representative from Houston died after attending Trump’s speech.
Oops! It was a dem.
All- Thanks, apparently I’m not the only one tired of the BS…
When 4 of 5 cover stories on the Babylon Bee page are about you and your stupid stunts it may be time to rethink your actions.
Roughly one third of the country is insane….and the people they vote into office are uncivilized, uncouth and unworthy of holding office. We can not survive as a functional society if we continue to allow such insanity to exist.
I’m not embarrassed – nor am I surprised. Both passed that line long ago – embarrassment and surprise can only last so long until they become “normal”. Their actions were actually subdued as to what I expected to see. They are what they are and there’s no changing them. The question becomes one of how can we isolate and avoid them. Before the answer becomes “violence”.
Stretch- Point…
Dan- Agreed!
Tom- Good question, not good answer here that doesn’t go ‘there’…
