San Miguel! Ouch! I’ve never had a more intense hangover than after a night of pounding San Miguel on Green Beach prior to extract!
I still remember my first San Magoo.
The Per Diem deal is a little misleading, IIRC enlisted Per Diem back in my day was somewhere around $1.10 a day while the O’s was north of $15. Usta piss me off, now not so much.
Once was trained/operated as, and now appreciate both action figures.
My massive hangover was sangria at Torrejon AB, SP. Went down so smooooooth after a stupid-long day moving rubber dog-poop and self-loading cargo in and out of the Sandbox (early/mid ’90’s)
I remember drinking Sangria near Torrejon.
I don’t remember anything after that.
Met a up with a friend years later who laughingly told me some of what I did after that. I wasn’t Article 5’d.
AL-OH YEAH…
Flugel- I know…sigh
WN- LOL, that sangria was ‘lethal’, no question!
Whew! I dodged a bullet there–I spell my name with two ‘D’s.
Safety wire needs to be a totally snarled bird’s nest.
TB- LOL
Dr.M- True!!!
I remember being able to get PITCHERS of Tequila Sunrises at the airman’s club at Sheppard AFB. I remember having to pour off the top inch from bottles of beer in Korea. I remember Purple Hazes in Okinawa, and the taste of that first glass of Southern Comfort at TJ when leaving Saudi on March 30, 1991. Good times…
