It was a different time… I remember hearing stories from friend’s dads who’d gone through North Platte…

A different time… When our country pulled together…

Today, we lose 17-18 veterans a day to suicide. This is horrific! If you know someone who is having trouble, there are things you can do!

This service is private, free, and available 24/7.

Heres how you can connect with a Veterans Crisis Line responder, anytime day or night:

You can also take these actions:

  • Call 911.
  • Go to the nearest emergency room.
  • Go directly to your nearest VA medical center. It doesn’t matter what your discharge status is or if you’re enrolled in VA health care.
Find your nearest VA medical center, HERE.
We need to step up! Nothing more need be said…

  1. I think that the military is doing better. I have seen firsthand, through my family, that the Navy is doing better.

The suicide rate for active police officers is roughly 110.5 per 100,000

The active duty military suicide rate is roughly 22 deaths per 100,000 service members.

One is too many. I know that nobody likes cops, but the numbers tell a story.
