But…the battery is mostly flat…
My ass is dragging! Great con, but I’m tired.
I’ll try to get an AAR up tomorrow night.
I ‘think’ most folks are either home or close, but I do want to thank those who were worried about the folks travelling! I’m too old to do a 14 hour driving day, but I ‘can’ do a four hour ‘flying’ day.
A TSA reminder for folks, make sure you wear an ‘airport’ belt that will let you get through security without having to take your belt off, especially if you have pants that are a ‘tad’ large… sigh…
At least I caught them before I ’embarrassed’ myself…
Grumble…
Reminds me of a moment in early 2002 (4 months after 9/11). Airlines had their own staff running the security screenings, and the National Guard had been deployed to the airports to provide additional watchful eyes and response if trouble happened. Some of them were attending at the security screening lines.
It’s my turn in line to take off my boots, empty my pockets and put my belongings in the basket for x-ray scanning. The lady at my security station tells me to also take off my belt and put it in the basket. (At the time, this was a new change. Up till then, they usually just wanded you to confirm it was just your belt buckle setting off the x-ray machine.)
I say, “Okay, but I got up so early, I can’t remember if I put on underwear this morning or if I’m going ‘commando’. You might get a free show.”
The Guardsman behind me behind lets out a very audible *SNRK* (I think he appreciated the break from the boredom.)
Hey Old NFO.
Welcome back!!!
Remember it ain’t gay if it’s TSA…
Try a velcro pack belt from Hill People Gear or something similar. I use mine when I have to go someplace that metal detectors will be in use, or when I am driving on long road trips, since no buckle.
