And the contractors continue to ‘fire harden’ the house, much to her displeasure… The noise of hammering is almost constant, plus the other construction noises, so not much ‘rest’ during the day. The Hardi Board boards around the doors and windows are so tough, the air gun won’t even punch a hole through them, so they have to drill through them, then use the old fashioned hammer and nails to attach them… sigh
Once the house is done, hopefully next week, they will come back and paint the house back to the original gray with white surrounds.
And the dogs are glad to be allowed out of the house! They have to guard for the pesky doe and her fawn (at high volume)!
And when I leave, the dogs and cats will have to find a new ‘doorman’ to open the door for them! And I get to not get slobbered on everytime I sit down!!!
The hindbrain still insists on reading Hardi Boards as Hardy Boys.

Plus, she married nd stays with you, so she has maturity nd wisdom with that tuff as nails character!
