A Texas mental health clinic owner was convicted by a federal jury after prosecutors said he orchestrated a $26 million scheme to defraud the military’s health care program, using some of the proceeds to fund luxury purchases, including a gold-plated Tesla Cybertruck worth more than $100,000.
Kevin D. Curry, 64, of Frisco, was found guilty Thursday in federal court in Fort Worth on three counts of health care fraud, three counts of offering and paying illegal health care kickbacks and three counts of engaging in monetary transactions in criminally derived property, according to the Justice Department.
Federal prosecutors said Curry exploited TRICARE, the health care program serving active-duty servicemembers, retirees and their families, by billing for transcranial magnetic stimulation, or TMS, therapy that was medically unnecessary or, in many cases, never provided.

There aren’t enough inspectors to look at all the treatments people are getting, and that is why crap like this keeps getting through. I’ll bet there will also be some other indictments coming down, probably including at least one or two ‘inside’ people, considering the amounts of money being thrown around.
But for us veterans, we have to jump through hoop after hoop, literally taking months to get treatment. I truly hope this scumbag gets 90 years in prison pour encourager les autres, if you know what I mean.
26 MILLION dollars (or even a third of it) would pay for a LOT of “Inspectors” to prevent such fraud…and those inspectors would likely find even more than the $26 million if they looked.

I’m too civilized to do this, but: why bother a horse? Attach noose, hoist away after getting all the money back including any interest he earned from it. “But, but, he’ll be impoverished!” Tough. Dead men don’t need money.
In the meantime, local VA no longer offers walk-in eyeglass adjustments: “Go to your local Wally World or Costco”. Both of them went above and beyond: WW actually fabricated the part on a teeny lathe for free while I waited because I’m a vet. Costco was sorta free because I’m a member, no matter where I got the glasses; jury-rigging was also required.
So, asset strip the bastard down to his shorts, along with any children he has (they benefited as well). Permanent bar on ever working in the public sector ever again on pain of 20 years hard labor. Won’t fix all of it, but it’s at least a good start.
If a few of these scum-dogs(and their families/tribes) were put down when found, this crap would come to a screeching halt pretty quick. I also like the guy who pointed out that somali law/sharia(an oxymoron of epic proportions) says a thief should have his left hand cut off.
You know, if I was scamming the government, the last thing I’d do is flaunt a gold-plated Tesla truck.

Tri-Care is culpable for letting it happen.
In fact, I bet they are looking in that direction now.
I’m guessing 2/3 to 3/4 of all government services are nothing but fraudulent payments to thieves.
Think of how quickly the country could go from ever increasing debt to getting the debt paid down without that going on.
Think of how much less in taxes you’d be frauded out of every year.
All of your politicians know; they’re complicit. They’re fully paid off and most of them are stealing everything not nailed down. The others are going to get the claw hammers…

Bringing back public hangings and applying it appropriately would probably go a long way towards lowering crime rates…

It occurs to me that some of the Tribes from over 100 years ago, down in the Southwest, had “responses” to actions like this which would be considered rather unlegal in this “modern time”. Unlawful is a different discussion. Fire Ants are included. YMMV. I do not advocate personal injury to anyone without cause.
