AND JUST ADDED:
COMPLETE KNOWLEDGE OF MILITARY STRATEGY!
by Nancy Pelosi
7 of 12. obviously I need to pay attention more.
9 of 12, but I disagree about the unemployment rate. It is NOT 10%.
I’ll quibble about the 2/3 oil too… I think it’s less than that, but as usual, I’m willing to be proven wrong.
12 of 12, and I believe the poll was conducted on what is reported, not what the facts truly are. 😉
Shoot! Eleven. I forgot how many women were on the supreme court. All I could remember was Ginsberg.
The real unemployment is around 18% but the “reported” rate by the feds is a hair under 10%. On the oil, it’s higher than 2/3rds—almost 3/4ths. I’ve done some commodities trading and I keep track of oil production, price and consumption. The current price is due to a severe drop in consumption. When times are hard, people stay home.
11 of 12; missed the oil import question. My intuition’s more in line with Alan than with Crucis, but it’s based on something I think I read in a book once.
10 of 12. Afghanistan and the number of GOP senators voting for health care. Confused that vote with vote on closure.
10 of 12, and I hadn’t realized that Japan found something else to do with all the money we sent them, and I thought ethanol wasn’t imported. I did notice that those reading and reporting here are smarter than women, high school grads and most of America.
11 of 12, but I think their number on unemployment is low. Still, it’s the official HopeyDopeyChangy number.
Here’s Your Score: You correctly answered 7 out of the 12 possible questions, which means you did better on the quiz than 66% of the general public.
Shows how much US news & politics filters here down under (no, they weren’t guesses!).
lol..woohoo!
Peedee- just proves you HAVE a life 🙂
Alan et al- Newbius/Crucis are correct, it’s about what is REPORTED not the actual values… Alan, it’s actually closer to 15-18%, but the oil import really is 66-75%!!!
Earl- Sad but true on the levels…
Julie- you STILL did better than many that LIVE here… 🙂
Amish phone directory, indeed.
That one got the laugh, the others a smile.
Hit the 12 for 12.
Not really surprised Julie did well.
It seems Aussies tend to have a better grasp of US policies/politics than most citizens do.
Skul
Way to go Skul, either that, or you have NO life… 🙂
8 out of 12. Next time I am watching the Texas oil wells pumping, I will say, “Yes you can”.
Love the shortest books written.
I got them all right (http://pewresearch.org/politicalquiz/quiz/index.php) but I’m a news junky and 68 year old history student.
This was a great post! But AMELIA EARHART’S GUIDE TO THE PACIFIC…oh how cruel! (Funny, but cruel-funny).
