There was one at DIA on a promotional a couple of winters ago. Took eight deicing trucks to get it ready for takeoff. An A 340 can be cleaned using two trucks but four works better.
On a personal note, have been invited back to work the deice crew this coming season. Declined – body isn’t up to it.
I had no idea the A-380 was so big. Of course, my days of international travel are limited compared to what they used to be. Have a safe trip.
Damn. Wonder how long it takes to evacuate that bird in an emergency.

But even back in the cheap seats wasn’t too bad a flight from LAX to Narita
