All of a sudden the last day or so I’ve been getting these ‘Unknown’ hits… Like 70 or so of them…
Doing some tracing, all of them seem to come back to CLOUDFLARENET, San Francisco, CA, United States…
Anybody else seeing strange hits lately? Some of them, like this are minutes long, others are 0:00 on the time log.
Not that I’m getting paranoid or anything…
With the deactivation of google reader many replacements have started coming online. Most of these are not running on dedicated servers but instead run on cloud based services. Why do I mention this? The lower cost cloud services do not use custom dns entries for each customer. A lot of these new reader replacement services are also buggy and overloaded.
We’ll look into it.

I used to worry about who was reading my blog. Discussed it with LL back in 2009 and he advised that if people who want to keep themselves secret read your blog, that is a good thing. Maybe they’ll learn something!

I’ve been getting a lot that show they are in Georgia, but when I run the IP they are in San Diego. All with Adelphia as the ISP. From doing some checking it does seem to be the reader they are using causing the mismatch. I’m getting 20-30 a day like that.
