Amid calls nationwide for stricter gun control laws, Virginia is experiencing a unique trend: the state’s gun-related crime is declining but firearms sales are increasing.
Firearms sales rose 16 percent to a record 490,119 guns purchased from licensed gun dealers in 2012, according to sales estimates obtained by the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
During the same period, major crimes committed with firearms dropped 5 percent to 4,378.

Being so old I remember when The Dead Sea was just sick, that is one of my bucket list that will never happen. But I would love to make a carrier landing (IN THE DAYLIGHT.) Agreed that they earn their money big time.
And the gun grabbers start another chorus of, “Yeah, but”.
Thanks for posting that. My boys love anything with aircraft carriers and jet planes. every time there is an empty card board box in the house, it quickly gets cut, taped and made in to a Carrier.
Facts are pesky things, but what are ya gonna do. 🙂
I’ve always respected carrier pilots for having the guts to attempt a landing there.
Yeah, reminds me of the old joke: “Once I’ve made up my mind, don’t confuse me with facts”.

I would love to fly a carrier landing at least once. I’m like coffeepot, probably won’t be checked off my list, but I’m not giving it up…

I do find the “unique trend” line hilarious. I can’t tell if this is Fox being duped by the standard lies, or whether they are taking an active roll in them…
