Holy smokes….I’ve seen some pretty interesting stuff at air shows, but I’ve never seen anybody walk an aircraft down the runway on the nose wheel!
Aw, man! I love that one.
The C-7 was, with out any doubt at all, the best ride during my entire 21 years in the military. Smooth, quiet . . . they always seemed to land at about 30 degrees to the runway though . . . 🙂
The Caribou took everything good about the old C-123 and made it 100% better. But flying is another thing, and that man sprouts wings.
Who would ever think up that stunt?
Hold my Molson and watch this eh!
Nice short field landing on the grass at the end.
drjim- Yep! 🙂
Murph- In a word- NO!!! 🙂
Bill- I never had the pleasure…
LL- Heard that!
Gerry- LOL, yep!
WSF- Class from start to finish!
Too bad the Army rolled over and let the USAF take the ‘bou’s away. Only ever had one ride in a ‘bou. In Thailand, took off from Bangkok Intl, and got out about 15 min, when crew chief came back and said we were aborting to a lost engine.
Damned impressive flying, that!
That drug out some old memories.
Didn’t know they had ‘touch parking’ for airplanes. Somebody should have told the poor bastard he was allowed to use the runway to land too!
LL said it all…that man sprouts wings.
C90- If I remember right, you probably didn’t even notice you’d lost one, the Bou was ‘slightly’ over powered like the P-3!
