It is always good to get away and blow off some steam… or lead in your case. Recharge the batteries and maybe when you get back the world will be back to normal… well, normal these days is depressing. I think I will join you.
So, when this is all over, can we turn the federal parks the states were funding over to those states – since clearly they can do a better job with keeping ’em funded and open than the feds?
The Federal Government needs to cede all of the parks to the states anyway. Let the states take care of them and get the feds out of the park business.

Talking to my son in Seattle, access to the Ballard Locks and ship canal is closed. Boats are still able to use the locks but with long delays due to staffing. Another petty annoyance courtesy of the Obama Administration. The normal pedestrian and bicycle traffic now must use the 15th Ave W bridge which is NOT foot and bicycle traffic friendly.
