The mood of the country is DEFINITELY not positive right now, and I cannot remember the divisions being this deep in my lifetime…
There has been a purge of brass across the entire military structure both on the high ranking officers and senior enlisted ranks, and it seems to be continuing and now dropping down to the O-6 (Col/Capt) ranks. What is also happening is the O-5s and E-7s are retiring rather than trying to grab the brass ring one more time…
This means most of those in the senior ranks have drunk the koolaid and will do (or be forced by higher) to do what ever is required by the administration…
And then there is Sequestration…
And we hear of DHS forming a military ‘army’ of ‘federal’ officers to counter demonstrations inside the USA.
And it seems that anyone who is former military, Christian, believes in freedom, etc. is now being classified as a ‘domestic terrorist’, while the real terrorists are being quietly removed from lists, bought off, cooperated with by this administration…
I just don’t see this ending well, not at all.

Well, you are under the influence of a questing mind. But if you were presented the problems you think you see coming, you will make the correct choice. I have been thinking that the Looney Left is like a young teenager, sure that they can make their world better and certain that their stupid parents will bail them out or will have to clean up the mess, because parents are responsible and the teenager had the best of intentions. Luckily it might be true.
The vast majority of troops that have attacked their fellow citizens were not evil or crazy – they were just following orders. And, yeah, this can happen any time, any place.
You are not paranoid, I havn’t seen the division this bad. We have had the Chicago messiah divide us by race and income for 5+ years and it is working. People are angry and I am afraid that this will not end well. Factor in the EBT glitches and the situation can get volatile.

You are not paranoid. One huge difference is today’s service person is literate and probably computer savvy. The one’s MacArther commanded had, at best, a grade school education (which was probably better than our current high school level). Little information was available.
What is of more concern is Obama’s “private” army, DHS, etc. Seem to recall, right after his first election, the idea being floated around.
The idea of a purge of senior military leadership may be a good thing, but only if it involves Perfumed Prince and Princesses. Sure as the sun rises, most being purged are warriors. Seems to me the services have been top heavy for years.

I don’t think so. I’ve been saying this for over a year now. And I also think the the purging of brass is a safeguard by Obama to help stop a military takeover. He is the one that is paranoid for good reason, not you.

Do you remember what happened with the most recent Russian Revolution? The Captains and Lieutenants refused the orders from above and with held their men. I know some of those same ranks in today’s US Military and I believe the same thing will happen here.
