Back in 2010, this was posted about cell phone/digital cameras and the metadata…
Based on what I heard out of BO today…
I think this is worth reposting and reminding folks that you CAN put way too much info out there inadvertently…
Stay safe folks!!!
You know, I think the next time I’m at Wally’s I may just pick up a burn phone just to have around. And one of these might not be too bad to have either.

@Rick R & Gathered Group: Per LOKSAK’s marketing material, the SHIELDSAK only gets you to “60db of Average Shielding Effectiveness.” If one is really serious about “Going Quiet,” they really would want upwards of 100dB. LOKSAK recommends you double-bag your device for more electronic shielding protection, without saying how many more dB of shielding double-bagging delivers.
Rick- Having a dump phone is NOT a bad idea…
Joe- Figuring the 3dB down 1/2 rule 60dB would put you at a couple of inches… Even if the unit was broadcasting at 500mw…
Just wrap it in aluminum foil. Cheap.
I’m surprised no-one has come out with a metal phone case.
