Another ‘celebrity’ bites the dust…

P.S Hoffman is dead by his own hand, and now everybody wonders WHY???

Simple…  No control, and enablers that can’t or won’t say NO!  They don’t want to jeopardize their access to that easy money… It was NOT a tragedy, it was blatant stupidity!!!

A good article HERE from the The Independent in the UK that runs down the litany of current trained monkeys who’ve gone down that particular rathole…

Bottom line, just like athletes and musicians, they ‘believe’ they can do no wrong, and the laws (criminal and probability) don’t apply to them.  Hollyweird, musicians and pro athletics have long been hotbeds of drug abuse, simply because of the money and availability in those arenas…

I don’t have ANY sympathy for him or any of the others… Destroying your life because you can get away with it, and destroying your family is NOT something that should be lauded or condoned…  What do his kids do now???  How do THEY deal with daddy offing himself in the bathroom with a hot shot???

Frankly, I think those enablers that contribute to these deaths should be charged!  At least the doctor in the Jackson case actually got charged…  I just wonder how long it will be before Lohan, Bieber, and many of the others will be cooling on a slab somewhere…

HERE is a link to deaths by drugs that is fairly interesting to read through… Especially the profession and the ’cause’ of deaths…

  1. It amazes me how the lemming follow these Hollywood types (particularly their politics). When you look at their sad, empty lives, it’s really not anything that you’d want for yourself. Hoffman is but another example of that. Clearly not anything that you’d want for the nation.

  2. As a combat vet with both a little and big sister, who was/is subject to rigourous torture conducted by Bieber and Lohan, the day of thier drug overdose is not soon enough.

Showin my age (or lack of) I had to Google Hoffman. Only film I had seen was Moneyball.

  3. When it first hit the airwaves that he died. I did not want our kids to hear about it. But they did. And I was actually glad because It opened up a dialog between the four of us on the effects of drugs, and why we do not take them. Here was a brilliant award winning actor..and he threw it all away for a drug..I feel no sympathy for that.

Beiber is one kid who is on a downward spiral, If my kids had any of his apparal or CDs, I would burn it. And when his crash happens I hope his dad can live with himself, because he is just as equally guilty.

What does upset me, is when my kids see sports figures involved in drugs, Our boys are so in to baseball, and collecting cards, and watching it on TV, that it pains me when one of their “heros” has to also trash his life. It is hard to explain that to a 7 and 8 year old.

  4. He was an enormously talented person- his performance in Capote was brilliant. That said, anyone who shoots up heroine has a death wish. Plain and simple.

  5. An interesting list for real. Some I had forgotten about, others a surprise, like the Singing Nun committing suicide. To me the funniest one was Chris Antley, the jockey, dieing of blunt force trauma from a drunken fall. He was a jockey, he didn’t have that far to fall. Oh well, just me I guess.

  6. They call it “dope” for a reason. Not a lot of Rhodes Scholars on that list there. Yet Obama is still softly advocating legalization of some drugs just to appease the doper vote. And once Marijuana is “ok”, then heroin and cocaine become that much closer to “ok”, especially in the eyes of the young ones.

  7. That’s why the call it “addiction”.
The real fault is with starting.
For everything else I tried I always knew not to touch heroin.

  8. So for every bleading heart liberal “celebrity” that OD’s four drug dealers are taken off the street. 4/1 Sounds like good odds to me.

  9. LL/WSF/Rev- Concur!

SPE- Ouch… and I don’t think either is far off!

JUGM- That is great that you were able to talk as a family… GOOD parenting is a huge help in keeping kids off drugs…

    Mrs. C- Yep!

CP- Yes is is, isn’t it…

    Murph- Yeah, sigh…

    Ed- Good point!

    Navy- That it does!!!

  10. The aftermath of Hoffman’s death exemplifies all that is wrong with modern “culture”.

A “celebritute” dies from an overdose and four dealers are arrested – when “Shaniqua” or “Bruce” or “Greg” snuff it in the same circumstances, nothing.

  11. In thinking about Bieber (which I try not to do), I wonder if you realizes that those “friends” he’s partying with aren’t and will disappear either as soon as they’ve drained him of what they want or he dies.
