The flying machines can already perform at extremes that exceed the ability of humans to stay conscious and in control. It’s not a huge leap to see that the future of fighters (and piloting in general) is some sort of quasi-independent AI overseen by humans on the ground.
It’s not a question of wanting to do it, it’s just that someone WILL and at that point humans in the cockpit will be over.
Nope, drones won’t do any of those things … and the military will be diminished in ways we can’t even begin to predict now. Sad, actually.
No but all the people who service and keep the damn things flying will.
