I’m tired of nothing but ‘bad’ news, and y’all probably are too, so some humor with a ‘twist’… 🙂
You need to be able to remember the era to really enjoy this.
It was a hot Saturday evening in the summer of 1958 and Fred had a date with Peggy Sue.
He arrived at her house and rang the bell.
“Oh, come on in!” Peggy Sue’s mother said as she welcomed Fred in. “So, what are you and Peggy planning to do tonight?” she asked.
“Oh, probably catch a movie, and then maybe grab a bite to eat at the malt shop, maybe take a walk on the beach.”
“Peggy likes to screw, you know,” Mom informed him.
“Uh…really?” Fred replied, with raised eyebrows. “Is that so?” asked Fred, incredulous.
“Yes,” said the mother. “As a matter of fact, she’d screw all night if we let her!”
“Well, thanks for the tip,” Fred said as he began thinking about alternate plans for the evening.
“Have fun, kids,” the mother said as they left.
Half an hour later, a completely disheveled Peggy Sue burst into the house and slammed the front door behind her.
“The TWIST, Mom!” she angrily yelled at her mother.
“THE DAMN DANCE IS CALLED THE TWIST!!!”
And remember, TGIF!!!
One thing leads to another…
LOL…..
Thanks for the morning chuckle!
Ed- Yep… 🙂
Art- You’re welcome!!!
Communications. Always a problem.
Hold on a second, you mean people danced in the 50s?
I kid, I kid. Good pre command staff meeting chuckle.
And this is why I do not even attempt to decipher what kids are saying today.
Half an hour?? Did they make it to the car?
Ha! Thanks NFO for the great start to my day.
WSF- Yep!
SPE- I try…
EL- LOL, heard that!!!
Michael- “Maybe”… 🙂
Six- You’re welcome!
Heh, heh, heh!
I know you will find this hard to believe, coming from me, but at a birthday party held at the church, me and my girlfriend tried to hula hoop together – facing each other. We did it, had a good time and got reported to our parents, and all hell broke loose. What did sex have to do with it? We were showing off our hula skills. Parents!
Why don’t Baptists have sex standing up? They’re afraid someone will see and think they’re dancing.
Murph- 🙂
CP- ROTF… sure, sure…
NC- OH yeah… BTDT… sigh (since I are one)…
Thanks for the laugh
