ZOMG… Simulator!!!

Now they’re locking in on the fact that the MA 370 copilot had a ZOMG ELEVENTY SIMULATOR at his house…

Funny thing, that is either an FSX or FS9 simulator package… by Microsoft…  readily available and three screens are pretty much the NORM for both flight simulators and car racing simulators…  And yokes, throttle quadrants, and rudders are also sold all over the place… Like HERE.

You can also get additional screens to ‘simulate’ the panels in a ‘heavy’ cockpit (FS9 is the leading heavy simulator) including 737-800, Airbug 320 and 747-400…

Sigh… and I’m almost surprised they haven’t blamed George Bush yet…

And why isn’t the USA doing more…

ZOMG… Simulator!!! — 14 Comments

  1. A pilot had a (gaming grade) simulator at home? Why, that’s almost as damning as a professional fisherman having a flyrod in his closet.
Obviously the mastermind Bush and his evil backers the Koch brothers paid to shutdown FACSFAC Malaysia so the pilots could re-direct the plane to a bridge in New Jersey…

  2. I may be wrong, but I have a feeling much more is known about what happened, the reason for the occurrence and a deliberate cover-up is in process.

Too many things don’t fit and such things have government smeared all over them.

  3. The news media are the biggest bunch of idiots when it comes to reporting real news. The sad part about that, however, is that many Americans still believe reporters.

  4. Ed- Don’t give em any ideas… sigh

Matt- Sorry bout that, we had a pretty smooth ride until we hit 66…

    ORT- Ain’t it though…

Jess- Concur, the Malay government is hip deep in this one…

    Euripides- Agreed!!!

  5. What do we know for sure?

    That the plane is MISSING.

End of story, 99.9% of what’s being touted is pure speculation…..

  6. It is, perhaps, worth noting — without making any implications at all about what may have happened to the bird — that there are three very very different approaches to searching for a wrecked (or lost) aircraft or, in the case of an accident, researching the accident. We are most accustomed to an anglo-saxon approach, in which the accident investigation is aimed entirely (read and NTSB or Aircraft Accident Investigation Board (UK) or TSB (Canada) report) at finding out what happened and what can be done in the future to keep it from happening again; blame is never assigned (that’s for the courts, later). Then there is the Roman or Napoleonic approach, which is the rest of Europe, where the emphasis is on placing blame (read the BEA report on Air France 447(?) for instance). Then there is the far eastern approach where, as those of us who’ve been there well know, the whole emphasis is on avoiding blame.

Only the first will find out the truth… and we aren’t in the anglo-saxon world here.

    • That’s makes sense. After all the current guy in the White House definitely takes the eastern approach for everything that’s gone wrong in during his reign.

      But I digress.

It seems like the Malaysian government is playing “Duck, Dodge, and Hide”.

I’m going to wildly speculate on a topic about which I knew very little here. The US Military has a better idea of what happened than they are letting on. Probably a better idea than does the government of Malaysia.

No vast conspiracy here, but if the US revealed all they know, some people on the other side would be able to make some valid guesses about the technological capabilities of the US Military, especially the Navy and Air Force.

Which leads me to believe that the plane has crashed and the passengers are all dead.

As I said, wild baseless speculation. At least I’m not Fox or CNN pretending to be an expert.
