A good analogy for the last two weeks… sigh…
Planned for…
And the Prius was outta gas only 40 miles left on the battery, the bike had a flat tire, and the airplane got wet…
But kudos to the Aussies I was working with! I was oh so glad to hear “No worries”, and “No drama Mate” more that once as we jumped through the hoops…
Everybody is back in one piece, albeit a ‘bit’ tired, and we pulled another one out of our asses…
One quick update on the MH370 search, VP-16 is continuing to fly daily, searching under direction of the AUS command post. They’re doing a thankless job, covering thousands of miles to and from the area; and hours of fruitless looking out windows for debris. They aren’t giving up, and are frustrated they haven’t been able to do more/be more successful for the families…
I’m proud of those kids that are flying and maintaining those birds. They’re doing GOOD!
And yes that is water under 429, it just got a bath, thanks to the Fire Department! Those fire department folks were loving it, they actually got to get out of their station and ‘do something good’ in their words, for a change… 🙂
At least you had transport. Could have been worse. 🙂
Good looking P-8’s!
Gotta keep the salt off those babies!
I’m glad that you persevered through the daily grind. Adversity+Time=Humor
How low were they flying that they needed a hose-off?
Rev- True!
Keads- Yep, brand new and fresh paint jobs!!! THey’ll never look this good again!
drjim- Oh yeah…
LL- It’s either that or bang my head against the wall and scream!
Murph- 1000ish feet… 🙂
MH370 landed in central Asia. Iran is busy converting the plane into a weapon.
Timmeehh- As good an explanation as any other… On the airplane today, I got ‘told’ that we (US) have it on Deigo Garcia… sigh
