Stuff…

John Lott does a great job of fisking the VPC (again) HERE, over their bogus gun-control numbers…

And there is info from the NSSF that basically says the administration is complying (at least in the outbound direction) with the Small Arms Treaty-

ADMINISTRATION LIMITS EXPORTED MAGAZINE CAPACITY OF 30 ROUNDS AND HIGHER . . . NSSF has learned today that the U.S. State Department has made a “policy decision” to limit the export of 30 round and higher capacity magazines solely to government, law enforcement and military end users. The policy is expected to be posted to the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) website this week. NSSF will provide updates on this policy development as more information becomes available.

Today in History- In 1992, rioting erupted in Los Angeles after a jury acquitted four Los Angeles police officers on 29 April of almost all charges in the videotaped beating of Rodney King. the 30th was the second day of rioting, leading to fifty-four people being killed.

South Central was a ‘war zone’ on this day with LAPD effectively ceding control of SC to the rioters, and the only ones that came out okay were the Koreans who defended their homes and businesses with firearms… And to my knowledge, not a single one was ever charged… 🙂

And there is ‘THIS‘… Tongue in cheek?  Yeah, but pretty damn close to home too!

As a side note, it appears the PC police are alive and well, and we’re losing (as usual)…

Mas Ayoob and EP did manage to find the protesters at NRA (they were apparently some distance away)… His AAR is HERE.

One of these years I’m going to actually find them… Sigh…

  1. Mr B and I saw two-looked like a mother and daughter with little placards on those yellow rent-a-bikes. No one said boo to them and they pedaled off pretty quickly.

  2. All we could find were four Lyndon LaRouche disciples outside who were trying to huck people into signing their “Impeach Obama petitions”. (What they really do is take those names and addresses and sell them so if you sign, you wind up on about every crackpot beg-for-money list that there is.) LaRouchies are NOT our friends, people. But darn it–they were the only opposition that we could find. The poor police outside were bored out of their minds, or they would have been had not the conventioneers all been so friendly.

  3. Despite how frantically the leftists scream, people don’t hate the NRA. Not exactly earth-shaking news, that.

  4. On the riots. I was at the LA convention center yesterday and the talk on the floor all day was would there be riots again based on the Clippers owner’s pending, then decreed, penalty.
    Thankfully it was quite.

I am loving the good/great news now coming out of the NRA convention, the Georgia law and of course Dr. John Lott beating down the opposition!
They lie, we stick to the truth. It works as time allows.

  5. Damn It! Thanks for the update on the Export Ban. I’ll let My Buddy the Surplus Dealer know that the Obama Administration is ONCE AGAIN taking away Legal Sales from his Business.

  6. Bleak days for Team Obama when even their base supporters are waking up. Small Arms Treaty? We’re DOING something! See. see?
    IMO

  7. MC- Y’all are one up on me (again)…

Murph- I missed them, and no don’t EVER give them your name/addy!!!

    Rev- True!

Danny- Yep, that was what kinda prompted me to include it…

    Les- You’re welcome… sigh

    WSF- Agreed!

  8. I sincerely hope that the worm turns during the mid-term elections.

  9. I saw a similar knife control article on FB attributed to Obama, saying he was going to “exercise his power” to implement knife control.
    Rang true…

  10. I was right in the middle of the LA riots, attending UCLA at the time. After the initial outburst over the trial, most of the “rioting” was done by blacks and Latinos looting stores for free stuff. It was then that I realized that the “racist” narrative on the news at the time was a bunch of horse hockey.

On knife registration, I understand that our liberal friends are pushing for a gradual ban by first limiting “assault” knives and high capacity knives.

  11. Euripides- Yep, free stuff… and when you look at the crap going on, PCism was on the rise there… They’ve tried, like trying to have assisted opening folders classified as switchblades already!
