Kilted wrap up…

$14,843…

Thank you to all that donated to the cause!

Stole these from Jay G, but I don’t think he’ll mind…
To that effect, a list of “thank you”s is in order:

  • York Arms, for the one-of-a-kind lower.
  • Glenn B., for the kind and generous addition of .22LR to the prize package.
  • JFT, for tossing a Magpul PMag into the prize pool.
  • Brownells, Virginia Arms, Dragon Leatherworks, The LED Warehouse, Atlanta Arms, Coast Portland, Richardson Reloading, Dreadnaught Industries, and the Atomic Nerds for the fundraising challenge prize packages.
  • Also to AltKilt for their continued support of KTKC.
  • The Kilted to Kick Cancer guys themselves, for all the hard work they put into the fundraiser to make it fun, silly, and yet meaningful at the same time. I’ve only had the pleasure of meeting Ambulance Driver out of the group, but I feel like I’ve known these guys for more than 3 years. I think getting set up as an actual charity was a HUGE step, and I know that dealing with the IRS can’t be fun…
  • Lastly, and this is a big one, to everyone that donated to KTKC. Sure, I’m especially thankful for everyone that donated on behalf of all the teams. But, really, we’re all on the same team here. Cancer sucks. I hate it. It has taken far too many people far too early. This is one that affects men, in fact it’s the second-largest cause of cancer death in men (after lung cancer; we apparently can’t stop inhaling carcinogens fast enough).

Thank you each and every one.

  1. Men get breast cancer too as our radiologist friend will attest, but this one hits closer to the homies. 😉
I just don’t get the haberdashery angle, but I’m not Scottish and Kaiser does a PSA test yearly that involves no snapping gloves or KY jelly.

  2. Now that’s a great number! Very happy to see good for a good cause! Bravo!
