That about sums it up. I’m mad as hell, too, Eddie. Pitiful. And when did Obama say “we” would get to the bottom of this veteran healthcare crisis? How about NOW?
I’m on my way out to vote. I will, also, never forget that “coffee cup salute” given to that Marine, demonstrating the utter contempt and arrogance this POS has for our military. I would not let him even police the company area.
Thank you for your posts. I appreciate them greatly.

That first one absolutely nails it!
I’ve never set foot in a VA hospital or clinic, except to visit one of my first ex-wife’s uncles, and I’m VERY thankful for that. That said, I most certainly DO have sympathy for the vets who rely on the VA for medical care and aren’t getting what they deserve. This issue seems to have dropped off the radar in that we don’t see much on the subject any longer. I hope progress is being made.
I visited a VA facility once only, when my service-connected disability rating was established. Wasn’t impressed then, and actively avoid it now.
It’s a shame & a national disgrace.
I’ve heard that there is a lot of good care at some VA locations. I assiduously avoid them because I have other healthcare options.
Getting older sucks. I mean, it really does.
When I was 19, NOTHING hurt.
I am so very glad that I have options other than the VA for the vast majority of my care, but there are one or two things that I have to rely upon it for. Even for those things, it’s a bear to deal with.
My latest attempt to call for an appointment (some two weeks ago): “We’re required to ask when you would like your appointment to be.” “Soonest available.” “That will be in January.” “…. Right.”
I exercised my franchise during my lunch break. Then I stopped by the range and exercised another right by putting fifty rounds through my EDC pistol.
Somehow, it seemed the appropriate thing to do.
I felt good about voting for Mike Coffman (R)CO 6th District. He is a stout advocate for Veterans. Sure hope he wins today.
Fargo- He’s waited until it’s knocked off the front page, now it’s back to business as usual (Fund raising)…
Bruce- Thank you!
Tim- Don’t it though…
Buck- See the comment above… sigh
Rev- A lot of them are, no question.
LL- I’ve heard there are a few good ones. And yeah, we’re not 19 anymore… dammit…
Pedi- That’s two months sooner than I got mine!
GR6- Good on ya x 2!
WSF- I hope so too! We NEED the support…
Just did my duty.
Dear Lord, please deliver us.
Ed- Amen… sigh
So true, and so sad.
The wife and I just got back from voting.
Not sure how much “good” it does out here in Kommifornia.
drjim- Regardless, you EXERCISED your right! THAT is good!
Veterans get what they deserve.
In his mind, we are.
I voted. I resented making the Marine hold his umbrella and the coffee cup salute among the other things Obozo did to disrespect our veterans and military.
