Go Vote!!!

Nobody will ever deprive the American people of the right to vote except the American people themselves and the only way they could do this is by not voting. – Franklin Delano Roosevelt

Tomorrow is the one day you need to be out and about, if you didn’t do early/absentee voting.  Please take the time to go cast your vote. It’s IMPORTANT.

IMHO, America is at a fork in the road.  The left fork is to descend deeper into the morass of government and regulation we have seen in the last six years, cutting our military and raising the entitlement mentality to a ‘goal’ for people to attain OR the right fork is to go back to our Constitution, realistic funding for the military, curbing entitlements to those that do nothing to even attempt to find work, and getting a healthcare plan that is actually affordable by the public.

To the Veterans-

One million military retirees in Florida alone could mean an overwhelming victory in that state if they all show up at the polls. It might not keep another hundred or more US troops from dying, but a turn out to vote by the military against this heartbreaking lack of leadership both by the administration and congress can make a powerful statement that hastens a change.

Veterans, please forward to your lists.  Get out there and make you vote count!  I don’t care WHO you vote for, but dammit… GO VOTE TOMORROW.  It’s important, and our votes may be able to get this country back on track!!!

I voted

I voted, did you or will you tomorrow???

Go Vote!!! — 23 Comments

  1. I voted last Friday (last day of Texas early voting), too many issues to ignore for sure.

  2. Yes! It’s important. My dad beat it in my head. I have marks to prove it. Even without that, I would say it is one thing I am always proud of doing for my country. And then I get really upset when my candidates lose. I’m a sore loser like that. And I’ve been sore for the last 7 years.

  3. j.r.- I did the absentee thing in SC.

Fargo- yeah heard that (felt it too)… And I’m as disgusted as you are!

  4. Absentee Ballots (both THE Wife and I) dropped off at the Board of Elections last Wednesday.

Because my Voting Location is in a School, which is a Gun Free Zone.

And we KNOW how SAFE the Schools are nowadays, don’t we?

  5. Will be there like every election (including the only local ones mid year). The bells may disturb others.

  6. I’ve “borrowed” your closing remarks for my morning post tomorrow, which will appear while I’m voting.

    Thanks.

  7. I voted absentee two weeks ago.

For us to win, we each need to vote three times the way that they do in the Chicago wards.

  8. Already did, and hand-delivered it to the Board of Elections rather than trust the USPS. I didn’t want to risk a bad day and not feeling well enough to get out there tomorrow.

  9. Oh, HELL YES! I vote for more Constitutional government! Sure wish we all had better candidates to choose from though. Sigh…Seems like I’m always choosing the lesser of two evils.

  10. I always vote, but spent a lot of effort these past two months talking to people who don’t usually vote. including one of my sons.

  11. The Mrs and I put our ballots in the mail as we left to visit her Mother last Wednesday. Hopefully they will not be negated by illegal voters.

  12. Voted with my Son, Wednesday. Followed my voting rubric to the letter.

  13. My mail-in ballot is already filled out. As usual, I didn’t get it mailed in time, so I’ll go drop it off at my local polling place.

  14. I have voted in every single election since I turned 21. Most of them were all absentee ballots as I was in the service till I was 39. All the rest have been right here on this small and insignificant Island. But they all count. Went to an American Legion meeting four days ago and all 26 of us vowed to be there tomorrow. We all emailed everyone on our lists and asked them to get out there too! Hope it all gets us turned down that righthand fork in the road.

Jim, Book will be on the way domani!

  15. So excited, I’ve been up since 2 am. Waiting till 7 am for Dennisport Public Library to open for the vote. Will be first in line.

  16. Voted by mail a couple of weeks ago.
Today I was taking a ZIP library book (written by some guy named J.L. Curtis) in to be cataloged into the system, and had to run the gauntlet of ol guys (my age) working the polls. Flashed’m with the book! Think that Curtis guy has some new readers…
