Thanks to Murph, I got a chance to get out to the range and shoot my ‘new’ guns…
Well, new to me anyway… Joe, ya done GOOD!
As always, clicken to embiggen
After fiddling around with the scope and once AGAIN reminding myself NOT to drink coffee, I finally settled down and put a good group down in the lower left corner. And the nice thing is the can didn’t alter the zero at all!
And after Murph ohh’ed and ahh’ed over it, he spotted for me and put a few rounds down range with the SP1.
Not as good as with the scope, and a ‘bit’ of chasing the correct front sight height, but we finally got it there…
And Murph did have a comment after he fired it, “OH, a REAL Colt spring!” Well yeah, it is… LOL
Last but not least, I drug out the 03A3, dreading trying to get it sighted in. But…
That sucker was DEAD ON! That’s a five shot group!!! Done and done, and put that sucker back in the bag…
Oh yeah, and the quickest way to put a smile on one’s face??? Reising Model 50 SMG in .45!!!
And lastly, Murph letting her run…
Fun was had by all, followed by Five Guys… I could use more days like this!!!
THAT looks like fun!

Rev/WSF- It was! Any day on the range is a good day!
Even a bad range day beats a good work day.
It sounds like you all had a very good range day.
Newest design? The 10/22 at 50 years old. My kind of outing.
Just think, once you retire you get to do that anytime you want…….
That’s impressive out-of-the-bag shooting with the 03A3. Come to my house with it during the next zombie apocalypse, please.
Good shootin’ Tex!
Awesome fun! Any range day is a good day!Better with buddies and Five Guys…tho.
Rick- It was!
Stretch- Still, it’s my first one! 🙂
Rick R- Yeah, but then affordability becomes the issue… sigh
Euripides- I seem to have an affinity for bolt guns. If you’ve got the ammo, I’ve got the gun! 🙂
Skip- Thanks, but it’s good guns, not me!
Fargo- Yep!!!
