I can’t help but wonder if this is ‘cover’ so that the MSM doesn’t have to cover those stories that NEED coverage, like the fallout from SOTU, what’s happening in Yemen, the death and succession of King Abdullah in Saudi, ISIS, the mess in Syria and multiple others…
And the ‘other’ media flap is over the Chris Kyle biopic “American Sniper”. The left hates it, and Moore has once again made an ass out of himself, but no surprise there… Rogan same, same…
But the more interesting part is this-
The release of the film American Sniper has led to an increase in threats against Muslims in the US, according to an Arab-American civil rights group.
The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) has written to director Clint Eastwood and star Bradley Cooper, saying a “majority of the violent threats we have seen over the past few days are result of how Arab and Muslims are depicted in American Sniper”.

And the weatherguessers ‘missed’ on the latest “Snowmageddon” forecast, because they believed the ‘model’. Also, the Army and administration are crawfishing on reports from ‘reliable’ sources that Bergdahl is going to be courts martialed for desertion in Afghanistan in 2009. This has to have the administration in an uproar behind the scenes, after what BO did with the parents and the five bad guys that were released in the exchange…
The other thing I can’t help but wonder about is the whole ‘relations’ with Cuba thing… Especially after BO said he’s pretty much going to do what he wants to in the last two years of his administration.
The administration is releasing more GITMO prisoners without proper notification, and the last five were pretty heavy hitters…
But I really wonder if the whole ploy here is to give ALL of the Guantanamo Bay facility back to Cuba as part of the ‘deal’. The prisoner swap that started this was all undercover, and there are still questions about the 53 political prisoners ‘supposedly’ released.
And the globull warming fanatics are still at it, now saying 2014 was the warmest year on record, but even NOAA and NASA can’t say that with greater than 50% probability…
Studies done using actual raw data don’t seem to support ANY measurable warming greater than about 1/10th of a degree… Borepatch has been doing a number of posts on this over the last year or so, and his posts support this also.
And I can’t help but wonder what the anti-gunners are going to try next on that front, but at least they got their hands slapped in VA and thanks to VCDL, most of the stuff coming out of committee in VA is positive!!!

I am amazed that people are STILL arguing about the Patriot’s DeflateGate football incident. Given all of the event’s of our government over the past couple of months, I wish our population cared about what is going on around them as much as that.

Well, I often wonder about the same things. Deflategate needs to end. Get on with it. It is obvious no one is getting do-overs or kicked out of the Superbowl. Just another reason why they should move to one game ball for all. Dumb. People care more about sports than world events that matter. I think our country is going to hit rock bottom at the end of Obama’s reign. It’s his goal, I am sure of it. But it’s still George Bush’s fault. I think you’re right that the coverage of this silly Deflategate distracts from the far more important issues of the day, such as the laundry-lit of this administrations scandals like Fast N Furious, IRS-gate etc.
The campaign and railing on against American Sniper seems more like tribal affiliation than anything else. Leftists don’t like it as it’s too pro-American and about a bona-fide conservative red-state American Hero that middle America and right America are proud and appreciative of, so to prove their leftist cred all the other Hollywood leftists and lefty congnoscenti must denounce it.
It’s been a week or so of craziness, that’s for sure. And I agree that the media’s choice of what to cover ‘in-depth’ and what to softpeddle is curious and depressing, but sadly not surprising.
Just played my tenth 18 holes in the new year. Winter is to come back saturday. I only watch the golf chanel. If you didn’t talk about this subject I wouldn’t know about it. Ha Ha… That is all.
