  1. Called a few minutes ago. Customer service says they started removing these from the stores over the weekend and the product is off the website. She apologized for the inappropriate item.

  2. We need to find a printer who will make Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores toilet paper for us to use. I wonder if they’d carry it in their store.

    Same thing, same point.

    Good find. It’s amazing that the boundaries allow people to sink so low.

  3. Here’s the website for Jo-Ann.

    FWIW, I couldn’t find that particular doormat on it. Maybe they’ve already pulled it. Damn thing was probably made in China anyway…

    As for Shane Lawler, I’d be proud to buy that man a beer!

  4. My note:
    To Kaitlyn

    Your non-response, and utter disregard for the customs and courtesies of the American flag, to JD Kinman, and the education he was offering, were appalling.

    As the daughter of a veteran, the widow of a veteran, and a veteran myself, I would HIGHLY recommend you make yourself aware of the following { http://www.unl.edu/armyrotc/HandbookChapters/Chapter5.pdf Chapter 5: Military Customs and Courtesies}

    The flag of the United States should never be used as part of a costume or dress or on a vehicle or float unless it is attached as to a staff, nor shouldit ever be displayed as drapery. Bunting — strips of cloth in the colors of the flag — is used for draping and decoration in general. No lettering or any other kind of object should ever be laced on the United States flag, and its use in any form of advertising is discouraged. Soiled, torn, or weathered flags should be burned.

    Due to the generally dismal state of ‘public education’ in this nation, it’s no surprise that someone of your position would be so abysmally ignorant of the history of the flag, and what it represents. Just as a FWIW, veterans and our families are becoming tired of the seemingly eternal slings and arrows of those, such as yourself, foist upon US, and Americans in general. The insults and disrespectful behaviors toward us, our SERVICE TO THIS NATION {under the ORDERS of the Commander in Chief, ie., the President, BTW}, and the symbols which we hold sacred, is extremely wearying.

    Prior to this series of incidents/patronizing responses, I would have shopped Jo-Ann for any sewing needs, and recommended the store; NOW? I will boycott you, and advise others to do so, by any means at my disposal.

    Sincerely and
    Semper Fi’

  5. Sigh. This makes my head and my heart hurt. Sharing this post.

  6. Arguably, it does reflect our current administration’s immigration policy.
