Thanks to Keith for organizing the Sad Puppies Meetup last night.
I got back just in time to make it, and we had between 25-30 people at Rock Bottom Brewery!!!
The guests of honor, so to speak, were John C. Wright and L. Jagi Lamplighter. As always they were great company, and it was great to see and chat with them. David Pascoe, Mrs. Dave and Wee Dave also put in an appearance, and a bunch of really interesting folks made it. It was great the chat with folks, and there were some rather interesting perspectives on the whole Hugo controversy…
Sadly, due to draggin ass, I had to leave early, but it was well worth it to meet some other ‘wrongfans’, and get some good food and good conversations!
I hope the next one we do will be in celebration! 🙂
I’m a fan of John C. Wright’s work. What is he like in person?
LL- He and Jagi are super nice! Polite, engaging and very open and honest. None of the look at me, I’m ‘special’ you get with some authors. Very down to earth, and I’d actually say very humble. They spent at least an hour and a half, probably more just sitting talking to folks.
Wow, sounds awesome, wish I’d know about it.
