I was in Honolulu last month and was shocked at how much it has brown since the 60’s. The traffic is as bad a New York City. It took us an hour to go from the airport to the hotel, 7 miles away, in Waikiki. Walk if you can. The pedestrian traffic is heavy but moving and polite.
Only 3 more days of hell in paradise?
And to add the rain over that last couple of days, traffic just sucks.
The rain is also keeping from hitting the range out at Kokohead.
There are worse places to be, but you know that because you’ve been there, too. 🙂

0500? Why would anyone be up so early there? Even the Japs did not get there until 0755 in 1941.

Drove from Philly to western PA to visit friends today. Cold rain for most of trip. Not exactly feeling your pain. (Wry grin).
I like to pack Chili-Cheese Fritos (FRE?) when I go to such lovely places where survival snacks are needed. Safe travels home.

I liked the sunrise off of Pati’s Point on Guam when we were recovering B-52’s. God that was a long time back.
