Constitution Day…

Did you know today is Constitution Day?  Did you know ‘why’ it’s today??? Remember this?

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Why is it today?  It’s to commemorate the actual signing of the Constitution in Philadelphia on September 17, 1787.

THIS really was the document that cemented our way of governance, and started us down the road to the success we have today. Contrary to what a lot of the left wing loonies say, as far as I’m concerned, it’s good to go as is, along with the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independance…

  1. I swore to uphold the Constitution against all enemies; foreign and domestic.

    Already took care of my share of foreign enemies, I wonder when the time will come for domestic ones?

    As an aside, three books in my BOB; a KJV Bible, the Boy Scout Field Book, and a pocket copy of the Constitution.

  2. There should be a required class in every high school in the country, that is about nothing but the Constitution. Every student should be required to pass the class before being allowed to graduate.

  3. Might as well celebrate Magna Carta day for as much bearing as it has on our day to day government.

  4. Navy91, I had that class in 1959, middle school, I got a 95% on the test. Why it went away, the communist run the schools now.

    • The Hillsdale curriculum is very good. We get their free mailings monthly, and I subscribe to their podcast. I recommend.
