Rehab SUCKS!!!
Damn knee is swollen, still feels weak, and the exercises hurt like a b**ch…
Left knee is now hurting, and my damn back is kinked again. Little/no sleep the last two nights, and a Post Op with the surgeon on Monday. I gotta get this mess figured out.
Back on a cane for the foreseeable future it looks like. But no stationary bike for the weekend! 🙂

PSA- Beware of lasers…
At this point, almost 5000 incidents of lasers pointed at helicopters and airplanes, including LARGE commercial acft. Latest incidents were in NYC and near Dallas Love Field.
It’s all fun and games until you have an airplane and hundreds of bodies scattered all over hell and gone…
Lasers are NOT A JOKE! I know one Navy pilot who is now legally blind in one eye, and lost most of his vision in the other eye, due to being lased. Of course s**t like that never makes the media, because ‘security’…
Another thing, I get hit with a laser on the ground, I’m assuming there is a gun behind that laser and I’m going to react accordingly… Kinda like tracers, they can be traced exactly to the perp…

Trouble is, to many, overhead aircraft at night are means of seeing how far the laser travels.

I was on my way to pick up a dying patient. That’s a good thing for the perpetrator, because otherwise I’d have landed in his back yard and called the cops.
Much of this phenomena will be properly attributed to kids…

Years ago, I was leaving a friend’s house late-late (for me, anyway – maybe midnight) and was stopped at a light when my back windshield lit up with a red laser. I yelled at my wife to get down and gunned it (serpentine-style) through the intersection. I’m sure it was some kids, but still…better to be safe than to be a headline.
A recent lasing of a jet just happened over Dearborn, Michigan. You can guess who was behind it.
It isn’t just aircraft, we just had some idiot lase the pilot house of a Washington State Ferry last week.

It’s that “make haste slowly stuff” that is a real drag, but does work in the long run. As you well know… 🙂

This is purely a defensive move when an offensive one is what’s required, but I’m wondering when laser glasses will become standard kit for pilots.
The glasses are designed for a particular nanometer range, but I’ve seen some that cover a pretty broad range. I’ve got a laser level that operates at 680 nm, and I never use it without glasses because of mirrors and shiny surfaces.
I hope you get better soon.
