Finally back on line with the regular computer… It was just a question of finding the ‘right’ box that had the mouse in it…
How the hell I managed to get computer stuff across THREE @#$%$ boxes is beyond me. I found ‘most’ of my shoes too. Missing one dress shoe, I guess it’s in a box somewhere in here, where? HellifIknow…
Working on getting the emails to reconnect, and slowly but surely getting the clutter down. Cook the first meal yesterday that didn’t come frozen and microwavable, and that felt good!
I hope everyone had/is having a great holiday season, and most have recovered from the tryptophan induced ‘naps’ from yesterday’s meals!!! And thanks to all who passed along good wishes, they ARE appreciated!
Go spend time with your families and loved ones, and tell them you love them. One can never say that too much!!! I’m hoping to be fully back on line Monday, and writing on book #4 by mid-week. Yes, I know I’m ‘slacking’… sigh…
Heh. At least you are finding stuff…eventually. Don’t you hate it when things break your routine? A sign, I suppose, that we are getting, ah, more mature.
Enjoy your slack time. You’ve earned it.
I always said moving was a valid cause for a divorce!! We moved from an apartment to a house 3 days after our youngest was born. I did all the packing. I just scraped the tops of the cabinets and dressers off into a box. It was a mad rush. I couldn’t take any time off from work. Took my wife 4 months to find everything! I was surprised she didn’t shoot me.
Welcome home. I sure hope my little brother up there treats you right. Let me know if he doesn’t!!!

Considering you just moved ACROSS COUNTY…I say slap anyone that gives you grief about slacking on book #4!! Plus it’s the holiday season…everyone else has been slacking on stuff as well…without your good excuses! Lol
Besides, I’m sure you were thinking about plotlines as you drove, right? 🙂

For the last 5 years, “In a box somewhere” has been the default answer to “where is…?”
This morning, Peter’s something like 2 boxes away from finishing The Great Sort, in which we opened every box, sorted what to keep, and repacked only that.
Then it’ll be time to start packing for the move!
*whimper*
Someday, I shall have an organized house again!
Check the boxes marked “bathroom” or “garage” and you’ll probably find your shoe.
Now to buy a freezer and a couple cases of chicken pot pies!
(Some of us have long memories)
Moving sucks. Done it too many times, myself.
But it’s a good excuse to throw out stuff.
It will all get sorted, eventually. Of course, we always manage to lose one item, be it a shoe, a jacket, or an aerosol can. Only the one, but it can maddening trying to find it.
Hey Old NFO;
I moved to my present house 18 years ago and I still find stuff that got packed up. We were using friends so we took what we got…
Hope you find your Long Johns and tire chains. Looks like you’re in for some nasty weather:

Planning a move next spring and I am finding stuff I forgot I owned from the last move. Hope you are not in the Historic Blizzard area.
GR6- Routine? What the hell is that…LOL
STx- Ouch!!! But agreed!
Suz- Actually yes… 🙂
Wing- Your turn in the barrel… ;-D
MrsC- I did… sigh
WSF- Oh HELL no…LOL
CM- True, but that’ll wait until I see what I actually have…
Rev- It’s getting that way…
Bob- That’s gotta be interesting after all this time!
WN/Ed- Yep, it’s coming. Gotta love Texas weather! 65 this morning, 42 now.
I’m sure that you must have packed in a more-orderly fashion. Right?
+1 Comrade Misfit
The good news is you don’t really need “dress” shoes anymore! Somehow over 25-years we managed to stuff enough crap for two houses into a 1100 sq/ft condo though.
