Happy New Year!!!

Well, we survived another trip around the sun…

Now it’s up to us to make the best of the coming year that we can…

My wish for the new year is that each of us do the following:

Make it to 2017!

Take time with family and friends on a regular basis.

Be productive in 2016, however one chooses to do that.

Remember those who serve; the military, LEOs, Fire, EMS who are out there everyday, worldwide.

For me, it’s been an interesting year… Basically a forced retirement due to back problems, a significant relocation, and a sputtering third career as an author. I’ve met some great people this year, had some fun, and I think I can say I went out with my head held high.

As for this blog, a touch over 500,000 viewers in 2015, a little over 7100 comments, and at least one new blogger started because of this one.

Can’t ask for much more than that…

It’s time to start screwing up those checks, and making all those resolutions you’re not going to keep anyway…

And no, I’m NOT doing any resolutions… 😛

We’d all like ‘whirled peas’, but we’re going to have to settle for less.  For me, it would be another year that I DON’T have to defend myself…

    Happy New Year….We have had an exciting 2015…some good and some not so good. personally 2015 has been a good year for me and mine. I am optimistic for 2016, but I am keeping my powder dry…just in case. And what is this stuff about a sputtering Author….you are writing your 3rd book…the first 2 have been well received so you are doing good…or at least in my opinion.

  9. Congrats and everything! Getting my CCW renewed soon and who knows, maybe I’ll even be able to find some kind of employment for the unemployable? Or I’ll buy a tractor.

  11. Happy New Year Jim! Dad & I are blessed: the entry doors to the C zappers have a lot of NO signs, “No smoking or tobacco within 200 yds, No wheelchairs, No food, No beverages, No loitering, No knives.” So if the zappers don’t get ya, us ccw grannies will. my faith in humanity endures.

    I second the thank you for you having this blog; I have learned lots of things, enjoy reading and occasionally commenting. I’m sure sometimes you feel that blogging is a chore, but know that I enjoy reading whatever thoughts/struggles/fun stuff you chose to share with the rest of us.
