And stimulation…
JD and one of his friends flew over for lunch earlier this week, so Lawdog, Phlegmmy, Peter, Dot and I met them at our favorite BBQ joint…
We DIDN’T do this…
We actually talked about a variety of subjects over lunch, came back to the house and chatted some more…
These stimulated the conversation…
We talked writing, shooting, law enforcement, movies, military, families, told jokes and killed a couple of hours…
It was refreshing, we laughed a lot, and we will do it again. This is NOT something you can do over a cell phone or on facebook…
Of course all of us are ‘old farts’, so we’re not afraid to actually hold real conversations. Matter of fact, we ‘probably’ prefer that, rather than hiding behind a keyboard…
A lot of ponies in that picture above – you have good taste !
Re thos handguns:
You can look, but you can’t touch, via smartphone.
That is simply cool.
Minor OCD twitch because some pistols are butt down and some are butt up. Larger twitch for the one pistol that is oriented different from all the others. “Must line up everthing.” (smile)
Well there is the point that on a smart phone no one can reach over and slap the snot out of you for saying something stupid.
+1
I love conversations like that. Good times. And a LOT of good wheelguns in that photo.
Must. Stop. Drooling.
j.r.- Old fart who grew up in the age when folks in this part of the country carried Colts… 😀
Ed- Sorry ’bout that.
John- Yep, but they were all pointed in a safe direction 🙂
CP/WSF- Oh yeah, hiding behind the ‘anonymity’ of the Intarwebz…
Rev- Good times were had! Those were just the ones I could grab without bending (back is giving me fits again)…
Nice mess of Colts and Coins! A steel salad if you will.
Outside the ‘burbs and cities up in the Country where proper etiquette is still nurtured, indolent and indiscriminate use of “smartphones” is still considered rude.
I don’t have one anyhow and hope I never do.
NC- Smart man! 🙂
Drooling over the guns.
As fellow Old Fart I love to talk with people.
I text very little my wive texts a lot.
But We have one rule the phones do not interrupt family time.
That poor ol’ cavalry model looks like it could use a new home. That is a sweet collection!
