My brother talked about leaving Viet Nam on a 727. Took off and went straight up like a rocket according to him.
I’ve always thought the 727 was the sharpest airliner ever built. I’ve promised myself that when I make my first billion I’d buy one and have it rebuilt.

Flew on a couple 727’s as a kid, they were the bomb! Didn’t D.B.Cooper favor them? 🙂

After reading that, I’ve become anti-semantic.
I remember some 727’s that were cargo in the front half and cabin in the back. You boarded and deplaned via the “Air Stair.” They were popular in Alaska.
Braniff had a couple. Noisy, lots of rattles. Worked there 1969-1971 at the old Denver Stapleton.
Now I understand with udder clarity.
For all intensive porpoises, I get it.
