Oopsie…

Don’t ya just hate it when the truth comes out???

The Washington Post wrote on Friday that President-elect Donald J. Trump “fired” the commanding General of the D.C. National Guard who is heading up the military presence during the coming inaugural event — in the middle of the oath of office ceremony. Yet a second story on Saturday did not contain the claim.

Normally, a CG can stay an additional 60-90 days to ensure a proper turnover. In this case the General himself made his resignation effective at 12:01 on the 20th, contrary to the published reports!

Once the questions started, the real truth emerged…

Full article, HERE. Oh the games they play… Apparently this guy spent over 30 years in the Guard and NEVER deployed! Amazing…

And in the sure to piss off every military person and veteran, Obama ‘commuted’ the sentence for “Chelsea” Manning… Article, HERE. Apparently he, she, it is having ‘mental’ problems… Really??? Ya think???

If there is good news, as of now it appears that Bergdahl WILL NOT get a pardon, instead will stand trial.

  1. Nobody wants to admit many of the higher echelon of the military have only one qualification, and it has nothing to do with the military. While this qualification made many feel good about something that didn’t happen in their lifetime, the final result is incompetence, low morale, and the removal of the demand for excellence.

  2. 30 years and never deployed! At first I was a bit shocked. Then I thought about it for a bit, and maybe it was a blessing in disguise for the men who DID deploy. Think about it. Would you want to have this PC chair polisher in an actual war zone, ya know, making decisions that could actually get someone hurt or killed?

The best revenge, for all these democrats that are throwing temper tantrums, is if President Trump continues to be as competent and successful as he has been as President Elect. Let the public see just how useless, incompetent, and petty the dems have been. Hold up their failures for all to see.

    Ray.

  3. As for Manning, aside from not being shot for treason, his commute does not clear him of his charges. He is still guilty. Only his time in prison was commuted. That means he is off the tax payer dole for his sex change operation, since he is not a prisons anymore. But I am sure his lawyers will find a way around a silly LAW.

    • Oh, any I though to reach the Star ranks, one had to have seen combat. How did he make it without that little thing?

  4. What do I want? I want some watchdog group to follow all of the thugs pardoned by B-Hole and report on their crimes committed after release and publish that as loudly as they can. I just wish B-Hole could be charged with complicity in the criminal acts these thugs will be committing. At the least we could publicly shame him as being partially responsible for the injuries and deaths that will happen as the result of his actions.

  5. The dismal reporting in the corrupt, elite, mainstream media and in particular the Washington Post and the New York Times means that I don’t ever read what they say without thinking – “that sounds like B. S.” And sure enough, it is.

The progs hope to so damage Trump through false reporting that he can’t get anything done and that that the Republican majorities in both houses of Congress will be repudiated in the next election. It remains to be seen whether American can just put on its gas masks when reading their lies – and not watch their TV channels

  6. The incompetence / corruption of Washington & the majority of the media is staggering. Their leftism shows with every word.
    Nikita Kruschev was prophetic.

  7. + what Ed and Ray said…

I think the reason the soon-to-be-ex-pres commuted Manning’s sentence is for him it’s a twofer…he can show to the LGBT community he really does support them, and he stuck it to the military, as Manning had a military trial not a civilian one. Obama has never liked, nor supported anything that even slightly smacked of being military from what I have seen over the past 8 years. Unless he could twist it to his own ends, like Osma’s killing. Even watching him award MOH’s, he always came across as condescending instead of appreciative of the service and sacrifice involved. And don’t even get me started about the mess involving the VA…no president who truly cared about the military would allow ANY of THAT for one hot second!!

    Just my 2 cents…

  8. Ed- Can’t come quick enough…

    Jess- Point!

Ray- I’m betting Trump will do just that! 🙂

CP- Yep, they’ll figure some way to make us pay. Re the second, I don’t know…

    Houston- Oh yes, agreed!!!

LL- The internet ‘may’ be the saving grace against the likes of NYT and WAPO, along with CNN, PMSNBC and their ilk…

Roger- Hadn’t thought of it that way, but you’re right!

Suz- Agreed! And this morning found out he also pardoned an unrepentant FALN bomber… sigh

  9. Manning’s mental problems started long before he enlisted. And I still can’t figure out why we the taxpayers had to foot the bill for rearranging his/her/its plumbing.

    • I’ve heard that his plumbing is still intact.

Not that I really wanted to know, but at least we’re not paying for that anymore.

I’m not looking forward to the magazine pictorials that are sure to appear. I won’t be looking at Drudge that week.

  10. A pardon for Bergdahl would have been more egregious. Snowden, too.

Manning was a bit crazy. More than that, he’d been brainwashed by the left into believing he did the right thing. Somebody that susceptible shouldn’t have been permitted into the Army, let alone given a TS clearance.

We were losing the PR war in the mainstream. That shouldn’t have been allowed to happen, but it did. If Manning had only been teetering, our PR ineptitude could have tipped him over the edge into treason.

On the flip side, I’ll admit it was nice to see the Gitmo files. Manning doesn’t get an ounce of forgiveness from me, but prior to his massive leaks, all we had on the Gitmo detainees were the CSRT tribunal records. Their lawyers were winning the PR war by pretending the CSRTs were inadequate. Lawrence Wilkerson said the gov’t knew it was holding innocent men. But with the Gitmo files, we could see that wasn’t true.

BTW: I’m not even certain that we saw the entire set of Gitmo files. It looks like Wikileaks only released one doc per detainee. That may well be all they had, but it may also be that they didn’t want to share more. After all, the Gitmo files were making our case, not theirs.

It’s additionally worse in one more respect: Wikileaks had the files organized by Andy Worthington, a British anti-Gitmo activist who then had ties to Cageprisoners, an Islamic anti-Gitmo group run by a former detainee. I’m just speculating here (and perhaps too wildly), but it’s not unreasonable to believe that Worthington shared those files with them before giving them to the press. And if Wikileaks was withholding data, that could mean that this Islamist group has more data from Gitmo than the public does.

Sorry for the rant. I’d better stop before I get to Apache video.

  11. Hey Old NFO;

I heard stuff about that National Guard General and the media act like Trump fired him, but then the news came out that he was given the option to stay on past the inauguration and the General decided to drop his resignation then take it to the media. and spin it one way. Also Manning gave us MI types a bad name, I was really pissed for he betrayed the country, the Army and his regiment.

  12. Even Vlad Putin is more pro-American than Mullah Obama is.

  13. Seems Manning’s sentence commutation is scheduled one month after his tax payer paid gender surgery. Hope Mr. Trump kicks him out 60 days early so he can pay for it himself.

Think the Lightbringer wasn’t aware of the dates? Nah, don’t think so. Just another way to give the USA the finger.

  14. Give Manning only 50% of the surgery.
    Just “whack” it off.

  15. 30 years and never deployed? YGTBSM!!!!! Way to go Guard…

  16. Tim- Good point!

Randy- I’ve heard that too… sigh

    Bob- Understood.

    Scottie- Helluva note isn’t it…

WSF/Charles- Gah, didn’t look that deep, agree with Charles.
