If you said AKM, you’d be wrong…

This is actually an early prototype from 1948…

Thanks to Guns.com for a great set of pics, HERE.

  1. The Safe Homes Act – hmmmm. Does it come complete with a yard sign telling all WE LOVE OUR CHILDREN AND HAVE A NO FIREARMS ON THIS PROPERTY. You know – spread the love. And their wealth, most likely.

A quote often credited to Albert Einstein was

“Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I’m not sure about the former.”

  2. And now the rest of my morning blog reading will be done with my brain insisting on reading in a ludicrously over the top Russian accent.

Confiscation of privately held firearms is not the end game of the left, it is the starting game, the middle game and the end game.

  3. “… the Dems in NY are apparently again going down the gun confiscation route…”

Yes, because it worked SO well the first time.

  4. That’s a Type 1. The grip is blockier and more angled, and if you look at the front of the receiver, the top is cut away so that “cheeks” on the trunnion stick out the side.

Much later, some Saiga rifles reverted to the Type 1 style front trunnion.

  5. Ed’s comment applies to Illinois too…
How I wish Chicago would commit suicide!
To show how stupid I am about your photo… it looks an awful lot like my SKS.

  6. Bad Divorce, and it’s ALWAYS the man who has to give up his guns?

What if it’s the woman who has the guns and the problem?
