You could always set a “reasonable response time” of, say, 7 days from being contacted if you are feeling generous, or 72 hours if you are feeling grumpy. Then your name gets dropped to the bottom of the list so instead of picking from the cream of the crop, they have only the “dregs” to pick from.
Bet that would speed up the entire process…
