Grrr…

Gotta ‘love’ how the MSM portrays stuff…

WSJ ‘headline’-

Protests Outside NRA Convention Pull Focus to School Gun Violence

Full article/video HERE.

Except… They weren’t anywhere near the actual convention. And note how tightly the TV shots were done… This was to NOT show the green space around the few protesters that did show up, and no coverage of the counter protesters.

And this guy either didn’t show up to write the story for USA Today, HERE, or he was ‘elsewhere’…

And of course the Huffpo had to get in on the act, HERE, but strangely, I don’t remember actually seeing or hearing of any ‘march’ on the convention center. And the pictures give lie to the ‘hundreds’ of protesters…  I can’t believe that would have been missed… We would have been scrambling to get outside ad cover that!!!

There was very little coverage of the counter protesters, and the most unbiased report I found was WFAA.com, but the video takes a LONG time to load.

And of course there are ‘dire’ predictions that these protests will follow the convention to Indy next year… These ‘protests’ have been going on in some form, in some location, since at least 2011 that I know of.

  1. We have always been at war with East Asia. The chocolate ration has been increased to 22 grams. You must love Big Brother.

  2. “Nothing was your own except the few cubic centimetres inside your skull. ”

“You are a slow learner, Winston.”
“How can I help it? How can I help but see what is in front of my eyes? Two and two are four.”
“Sometimes, Winston. Sometimes they are five. Sometimes they are three. Sometimes they are all of them at once. You must try harder. It is not easy to become sane.”

  3. I’m surprised they don’t show far more. With CGI they could make it appear to be thousands.

  4. Perception, perception, perception…isn’t that the entire point of propaganda? And, if there isn’t the wanted perception, then it must be created. Slowly over time, stealthily, to sway the unwashed masses to the “correct” point of view, which is whatever our betters have determined for us. After all, critical thinking, logic and reasoning haven’t been taught in schools for more than a few decades. Can’t have folks questioning the agenda…

    • Ah, first application of Renault’s Law I’ve seen today.

Renault’s Law – When something so expected happens and someone quotes Captain Renault.

      And, yes, totally shocked.

  5. The Huffpo/Wapo/NYT/CNN lemmings will swallow the lies as if it is honey. Never mind that it’s really dumb propaganda, there are a lot of REALLY dumb consumers out there tuning in.

Soros would say, “Old NFO, do you believe me or your lying eyes?” Barack would ask the same question.

  6. Thanks for the post, Old NFO. I’m providing a link to your story and sharing it on social media.

This Leftist propaganda must not be allowed to stand. This is the kind of false news that the oh-so-tolerant commercial media will use to further their cause, and it isn’t limited to firearms and the people who own them. It’s increasing to include everyone who has a set of traditional morals and refuses to compromise their own way of life to accommodate the hate speech of the political Left.

  7. I am so tired of skewed news. Manipulation at its finest. I’m tired, boss, real tired.

  8. Hey Old NFO;

I was looking forward to seeing some real honest to God protestors when I was at NRAAM, but I was sorely disappointed, I didn’t have to run a ring of antifa to get into the convention, WTF? It was totally quiet, not a protestor to see and just a couple of police on the street corner…..After all the drama…..Really? bummer, Perhaps next year, LOL

    • Could it be much like the major political conventions? You know, the ones where only that party had to put up fences and walls and barriers and extreme security features. Those evil Republicans, right?

  9. Wouldn’t it be great if the reason for the non-protest was because that particular group of morons had a sudden flash of wisdom, and decided that goofing up an event where most participants were gonna be armed, was just a really bad idea?
Umm, that would be ALMOST as good as finding out that those bankrolling the protests had run out of money.

  10. Grandma’s Against Guns protested years ago when the NRA met in Minneapolis, MN many years ago.
My wife and young daughter answered the call for
counter protesters. Made me proud of them.
