I got nuttin…

So you get a picture…

It doesn’t really come through well, but there was a ‘beam’ of light in the center of the picture that was unusual. The bottoms of the high cirrus was scalloped just enough to get some interesting highlights too.

I’m busy writing, 30K words on the last Grey Man, and working on the western and a couple of short stories.

  1. Very nice, great sun path just off center. Great contrast from that pale turquoise clear sky to the clouds retaining the dawn color bands. My usual is sunset and twilight, not dawn, but now I’ll look for a by old sky early. Crop in from the left, just enough to eliminate the tall pole, and the image gets much better.

  2. Looks good. You imply it looked better in person and I can appreciate that. Sometimes the picture does not convey the reality.eh?

  3. “Last” Grey Man or “Latest” Grey Man?

That is a beautiful picture, and the beam of light does come through. Nicely done, and appreciated. One of the downsides of living in a valley is that sunrise and sunset are things that happen on the other side of the mountains.

  4. PK- Yep, I should have done that.

Ed- Not always. It was really beautiful in person!

McC- This will be the last full length novel in the series. Thanks for the comments on the pic. Flat land DOES give one a different perspective!

Murph- It’s on my list. Trust me… sigh

  5. The picture is very pretty, and, yes, I can see the beam of light. It is cool when that happens.

So the Muse is cracking the whip? Very cool!! We will not pester you then, and wait patiently to enjoy the fruits of your labors. Now to go shake the piggy bank for pennies and nickels to send your way when you are ready to receive them.
    🙂

  6. Suz- You’ve got a few months… Y’all read MUCH faster than I write.

    WSF- You and me both!

  7. Like making a good brisket, don’t rush it, let it smoke slow, gather flavor as the fat melts down and it all comes together, I love the Grey Man stories, I identify with the folks being an old Army guy and living here in the Texas Hill Country along I-10. Real folks with an appreciation for the proper use of real guns with a writer who knows how guns actually work. Not over the top goofy stuff.

Thank you for hours of enjoyable reading and please take all the time necessary to give us another great Grey Man book.

    That will be all…..

  8. Beautiful sunset and I know, writing is or can be… work. Mind you, when it flows it seems less like that.

    Good luck with the 30k!

  9. that’s really nice, now get back to the Grey Man so i can give you money
