Grrr…

Spammers and an attack against my little blog are ongoing. Thankfully, my blog host has GOOD security. Something over 1000 SQL attacks, and all of a sudden I’m averaging 100-150 random spams a day. My ‘normal’ count is 15-25.

I can’t help but wonder how much of this is because I don’t ‘toe the line’ well enough for the POS out there…

In other news, PP is recovering fairly well from her surgery. No complications so far (knock on wood), and I take her back to the doctor on Monday for her follow up. Problem is, both kids are running a low grade fever and GRUMPY…

And the dogs have gotten wise to me trying to wear them out. They’ll chase the chew toy five or six times, then it’s dropped and they sit and look at me. Alternatives are now being attempted, but I don’t hold out much hope.

In other GOOD news, I got to see my great grandson. Pictured with my grandson and his significant other. Sucker’s got a grip! He got hold of my beard, and I though he was going to pull half of it out… LOL

  1. There’s one happy gentleman. Of course holding a grandchild, or great-grandchild, will do that to you.

  2. You titled the post Grrrrr.
That must have been the start of the Tony the Tiger line, seeing that picture of you and your family.

  3. Miguel- At least I didn’t break the camera… LOL

Jim- True, but it also reminds me of how OLD I am… Sigh

Ed- One of those days. 🙂

  4. Congratulations. I met and (just barely) remember a couple of my great-grandparents. Evidently that is something of a rarity. May you enjoy the healthful longevity that will grant grand-kid such memories… or better ones!

  5. Grand kids are the best!!!!! When I am with my grand kids it reminds me of when my boys were little. Except, I do not have to clean up after them…..

Glad PP is improving…hang in there!!!

  6. Hey Old NFO;

I know the feeling when I got spammed several weeks ago. I was getting over 1000 of them each day from midnight to 6 AM. Sheesh. Glad PP is healing up and things will get easier for you….except for the dogs…they ain’t stupid, LOL

  7. PP on the mend, grandkids and great grands, and dogs around you. Your blessed… Quit your bitch’n!

  8. Good lookin’ family. I’m one of the lucky ones: I came up with all four grandparents, and two great-grands. Almost all of them except the two grandmas were gone by the time I was 12, though. My older girl remembers her great-grandma, too. You’re a very lucky & blessed man.

  9. Rev- Thanks! I had all four grands too. No great grands while I was old enough to remember.

  10. What a great pic! And I fully sympathize on the chew toy issue… and good to hear about PP.

    Spam… we have to wonder…

  11. I have been told DDOS attacks nowadays don’t even require any skill. You can rent a network and target a site, if you have the (bit)coin.
