Just DO IT…

Get the damn impeachment vote done in the House already. Stop with the @%$$##$% posturing and vote so the BS can move to the Senate and be done away with…

Chuck U sure has a different story today than he did in 1999 about witnesses, and I find it curious that he ‘released’ his letter to the media with his requirements at the same time as he sent it to McConnel.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, who announced Sunday he wants to summon four witnesses to testify at a Senate trial if the House impeaches President Trump, voted against calling witnesses when President Bill Clinton was impeached in 1999.

Schumer, a New York Democrat, was a new senator in January 1999 when he cast one of his first votes in the chamber to dismiss the case against Clinton and against a motion to subpoena witnesses.

Full article, HERE. And another article, HERE.

So he is SURE the president WILL be impeached by the House… Telling, in that the vote hasn’t been held yet, nothing has been forwarded to the Senate, and now Schumer wants the Pubs to ‘play fair’… Really?

Just get it over with… And get your asses back to the business of America, like the new NAFTA, a BUDGET for God’s sake, and do something with healthcare!

Just DO IT… — 19 Comments

  1. As I understand the present strategy (and it keeps changing), the Senate will convene with the Chief Justice presiding, a motion to dismiss the impeachment proceedings will be made, they’ll hold the vote and that will be that.

  2. The Senate should initiate an investigation into the behavior of the House judiciary and intelligence committee members.

  3. Nah, just make Chuck, The Smartest Man In The Senate, play by his own rules. Use his own words on him.

  4. Please do not wish the Congress on healthcare. I am convinced that there is nothing they will do that will not make the mess worse.

  5. Give the Dems credit for redefining insanity. When something isn’t working, keep trying variations, over and over. May work in science but not in Congress.

  6. LL- Who knows… sigh

    McC- If only…

    PK- That they are!

Carlton- You do have a point… dammit

    WSF- Yeah…

  7. Well, while their time and effort is taken up with the impeachment circus, that’s less time they have to try to dismantle the United States.

Same reason I used to cheer when the media reported Barack Hussein was off on another golf trip, world tour, or speaking event.

Hey, you take your silver linings where you find them…

  8. With two Dems jumping ship, one to Independent and one to the Republicans, and rumors of 23 others in threatened districts potentially defying DNC orders and not voting for, or at least abstaining from, impeachment, there is a real possibility that the Dems do not have the votes to push impeachment through.

And every day, more and more and more pressure is put upon weakened candidates by their constituents and their lobbyists to not impeach.

The hanging rope is getting longer and longer.

And the dem ship is sinking, and rats are bailing. The first few are out and now safe, soon there will be a concerted rush for the door and those too slow or at the tail end of trying to leave will be either stomped or trapped by their lack of foresight.

And now I insert an evil laugh. Muhahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahhahaha (wheeze, inhale) hahahahahahhahhahhaahahahahaha.

I wonder if I will need treatment for my Schadenfreude induced priapism? Nope. I think I will wear it proudly.

  9. “Play fair” could easily be interpreted to mean that the Senate trial should be as slanted in President Trump’s favor as the House inquiry was slanted against.

  10. I have been watching this so called debate all day as I didn’t want to drive home in the lake effect snow coming off Lakes Erie and Ontario. I find it truly sad that the Dems have evidently not read their own transcripts. Trump was not found to be in collusion with Russia, there has been no quid pro quo, per the DEMS witnesses, and on and on. They are impeaching Trump because he is a pushy rich New Yorker, with questionable taste in hair style, squinty eyes and an orange tinted tan. And he had the nerve to win the election Hillary was ordained to win.
I got a news flash for the Dems—Congress is not supposed to oversee the President…words I heard from one Dem, and, the Dems have to impeach Trump as the unwashed deplorables can not be trusted to not vote for him again come November 2020 instead of voting as they are told for the Commie Socialist Dems. Last time I checked my copy of the Constitution, it stated 3 co-equal branches of government, not one better than the other two.
I am going to go reduce my blood pressure and re-read the Grey Man series. MUCH more enjoyable!!!

  11. Suz- Concur! And excellent point THREE co-equal branches. And they didn’t want to go to the courts, because it would ‘take too long’.

  12. Well, the fraud has now been voted on, and the expected results happened. So, there are two possibilities now.

A-the “articles” go to the Senate, which will vote for acquittal or refuse to allow a vote, effectively granting acquittal, despite all the bloviating that will occur.

B-the House will refuse to transfer the “articles” which would delay the Senate trial for an unknown amount of time, possibly past the election in 11 months, and that will result in a debacle I don’t want to think about. Although the people who are perpetuating this fraud care not what I think.

  13. So the vote has been held, and DJT has officially been impeached. All Republicans voted no, as did 2 or 3 dems. Quite the farce, and the precedent it sets is troubling. May the next dem president meet with the same fate… and while I would normally be glad that Congress was tied up and doing ‘nothing’, there are some areas needing attention. As for Chuck-you Schumer, I have long held him in high disregard. I thought the fate of the character modeled after him in John Ross’ “Unintended Consequences” would be sweet if it could be meted out to Chucky in real life. And if the Senate does vote to dismiss, the libs will try to impeach them for obstruction of Congress, now that we have such an offense.

  14. Watching McConnell this morning, he’s long winded, and he just finished, he used a lot of good words, and he said the “impeachment” is Constitutionally incoherent, but he did not specifically say that he would reject this, he said the Senate would do its duty.

Cramer R-ND is now saying that he thinks the Senate deserves to hear from the President’s lawyers.

    Here we go.

  15. And it seems San Fran Nan is going to sit on the impeachment till the Dems get their way.

    Hope she’s comfortable.

  16. They seem to think prolonging the process will help them.

    They are clearly insane.
