Had my first run-in with a CovidKaren yesterday…

%$&$* CovidKarens… At the local big grocery store, standing in line to check out. Older (well older than me) fellow behind me with no mask. CovinKaren goes by the front of the aisle, sees him and backs up to come down the aisle and confront him. She starts in on him in a loud obnoxious voice, pushing her cart at him to mark her ‘exclamations’. He finally says very quietly, “Shut it, bitch. I’m 87, I have one lung after getting shot in Nam. Ain’t wearing no damn mask cause I can’t breathe. Go the hell away.”
She gets damn near hysterical at this point and he turns slightly. And she sees the Ruger SAA on his hip, open carried… She almost screams, “He’s got a gun on!” She starts backing up and almost backs into me.
I tell her to go away and she goes to start in on me, and I add, “So do I, but mine’s under my shirt.”
She turned pale, left her cart, and headed for the exit… LOL
The older man and I both start laughing just as the manager comes up. He asked what was going on, and when it was explained, we could see his eyes crinkle. He just shook his head and walked off, pushing her half full cart.
Crap like this is why I usually shop at my small town local grocery. They don’t worry about masks, and they know most of the locals, so we don’t have any issues.
In the Oopsie category, we have this story! Shades of Seattle, anyone?
While members of the Richmond City Council are in the midst of talking about defunding the police department, one of their very own council members got a swift taste of the bad side of the mob they’re considering caving to.
And, ironically, the council member is upset that police didn’t intervene to the level of her desire.

And I’m seeing a lot of meltdowns about the federal response in Portland. Seems that everybody on the left, up to and including Pelosi and Schumer are calling them ‘stormtroopers’ and ‘promising’ to do something…
Some of the people screaming about this ‘should’ know better. Having seen real secret police in action, and seen people shot for simply walking in the wrong place, these people have NO idea how much restraint the LEOs are actually using. Outside the US, if the SP take you, the odds are you will be ‘disappeared’ whether guilty or innocent. And they aren’t polite when they do it.
One of the biggest complaints seems to be that they are using unmarked vehicles and don’t have nametags/badges/nametapes on. The left is ignoring the fact that their minions are ATTACKING police vehicles anytime they can, and are actively doxxing any LEOs they can get info on.
By using unmarked cars, and being low key, but with insignia on their uniforms, they are preventing scenes from degrading into riots, and if they people questioned aren’t the right ones, they are released. There is NO requirement to Mirandize anyone whom they have photo or video evidence of… on the scene.
I’m convinced what the left wants is a shooting by LEOs at a riot, where one of the ‘choirboys’ or ‘choirgirls’ will be killed.
It almost happened in Chiraq Saturday night…

Yeah, I find myself wondering if they are knowing traitors to the Chinese, but that explanation is entirely unnecessary. a) It is consistent with the general level of strange we are seeing in the rest of the American population from crazy, panic, and the rest of this year. b) It is consistent with the rest of the apparent Democrat strategy for this cycle, which could be entirely domestically motivated.
The scarcity of reliable information about what is actually going on is making everyone a bit nervous about what will happen. Combination of how covid lockdown contracts individual information gathering, the increase in stress, and that everyone is guessing that there may be manipulation by a foreign intelligence agency makes it more impossible than usual to figure out actual events, and how people are actually reacting.
You and I are concerned about what may happen, and we have philosophical reasons to seek calm, truthful analysis.
The big leftwing names have a different philosophical foundation, and are doing things that they usually see as not being expedient.
We’re at the point here where you have to wear a stupid mask to go into a shop. Question — who leaned on Abbot, the Bushes? And yes, they desperately want a Kent State 2.0, and haven’t got it. So they’ll just have to settle for trashing their own dem cities.
I don’t see how that helps elect Biden.

I’ve heard that it’s the press and the down-state politicos who pushed Abbot. I suspect the futzed case numbers (thank you, CDC et al) are not helping, nor is the mess in the Valley with people from across the border. But that’s based on rampant ramp rumor, as we used to say.
Because if a shooting occurs during Trump’s watch, the Leftist jerks will be able to blame it on him and use it as a rallying cry to go full Commie Revolution.
Why vote for change when you can shoot your way to it?

That story makes me smile. Haven’t had any CovidKarens in our little town, and I avoid Los Anchorage like the plague (see what I did there?). Too many Left Coasters there, trying to turn it into the same Socialist dumps them left to go there. Sad to say, they’ve very nearly succeeded; there are still voices of reason, but they’re getting drowned out & outnumbered.

The organizers of these things want dead cops, dead protestors (or revolutionaries who can be portrayed as protestors by the collaborators in the MSM) or both.
There are sincere peaceful protestors but wittingly or unwittingly they are human shields for those who are not peaceful.
Our world has gone insane. Just wait until Nov 2, some say after Nov 3. I think it will start Nov 2 trying to intimidate and disrupt the election.
They are busy portraying this as Trump’s fault, no matter what he does. No response, Trump’s fault. Response, Trump’s fault. COVID deaths, Trump’s fault. No COVID deaths; use a different stat, or lie and blame it on Trump or the Republican governor, or just completely ignore that state so that the general public doesn’t know about it. I am not convinced that Trump will be reelected and if he isn’t, I can almost guarantee that the protests and the COVID reaction will stop within two weeks of the election.
Now Trump claims wearing a mask is patriotic.

Regarding the protestors –
This is why it was so important to stand up to the IQ-deficit leftist south-end-of-the-digestive-tracts at the beginning. Protest peacefully, we’ll let you go. Cross the Rubicon, the axe falls. But… nooooo. Because so many leftist mayors and governors are under the control of the leftists, the leftist protestors and rioters were allowed to play around and get away with it.
It’s like… juvenile crime. The juvenile rioters were sent off after being picked up with a slap on the wrist. Now they’ve turned adult, and the cops (well, federal cops at least) are treating them like adults.
As for Tales of the Covidiocracy, I’ve had to tell a few people to ESAD or FOAD as I have crappy lungs from allergies and a tad bit of panic from various things that have occurred in my life. Open faced helms okay, closed face helms… just no. (seriously, that much restriction from just restricting airflow ticks off certain responses that could be unhealthy to me and/or those around me.) Now if they want, I’ll walk around with a SCBA pack, as long as they let me carry a fire axe or a halligan.
As to carrying guns… ZOMG, a gun, so what, big friggin deal. Funny story about that though. So BITD I worked at a police department (not a cop, staff ass) and my lovely wife was there watching what I did (assembling lineups mit der computer) and sumdetective walks by. She quietly goes, “OMG, he’s got a gun…” And I turn to her and say, “This is a police department, the cops all have guns…” But she was right, all the other cops she saw were normal people and the one she responded to was a… hmmm… bit of a pendajo, so she was picking up on the crazy emissions.
The STUPID is STRONG in these ones.

I wear a mask. I discovered that is not enough when I noted that I don’t care if others wear one or not. I was told I “should” care. The virtue signaling little busybodies and authoritarians are beginning to, uh, “annoy” me.
As regards actions of the FPS, don’t forget the words “police state” and “kidnapping.” The lunacy of extremists knows no bounds.
In Kali I am exempt due to hearing aids,(five years on the flight line). So far, no karens in our town but I have been asked about the bulge under my tee shirt. I just tell them it’s a life saving device. A cop once asked “what caliber?” I replied “.45” He smiled.
“Night of the Karens” – the best movie pitch to reboot “The Wild, Wild, West.” Better be a pretty Karen.
“Night of the Karens” sounds like it should be set in Stepford.
There are medical exemptions and nobody is allowed to ask you to show the exemption because of HPPA.

I remembered seeing this on Farcebook and I actually used it when I was accosted by a covidkaren “when she yeleld at me in Publix” you are supposed to be wearing a mask? and I replied “Well according to My Mom I am supposed to wearing underpants also but here I am…..” and shrugged and gave her a psycho look and walked off. I enjoyed the look of shock on her face when I said that 😀
There are male “Karens” too. Had a run in with a store manager (big box store) last week. Section with what I needed to purchase is on right side of megastore. Main entry is on left side but for 15 years, we have been going in the right side without issue. Now,by golly it is plastered with Exit only paper signs. Mind because of our governors edicts, we must wear masks in stores, much as I dislike it, had one on. Got yelled at when entering the exit. Told the shouter that what I want is on this end of the store and proceeded to get said items. On checkout, manager refuses to allow me to pay, says I have to exit, walk to other end of store, enter that side and return to the checkouts (where I was). Looked him in the eye and told him to quit f*ucking with me. Never flinched, said no dice. Mexican standoff. I needed the item and he would not budge, so rather than hit the punk in the nose, chose to do the walkaround. Told him it was the last time I shop there until policy changes to something rational. Hope a lot more folks do this. There is stupidity and then there is Karenits and it seems to be contagious. Of course, y’all don’t live in Michigan, land of despots starting with the Governor on down. Not all stores are doing this one way in and one way out, but many are to great inconvenience and for zero medical benefit.
